Well if it is miss-firing, it could be an ignition or fuel problem, or something mechanical.

How many o2 sensors on the 05 grand jeep Laredo 3.7 are upstream and downstream sensors the same?

The 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 3.7L typically has two oxygen (O2) sensors. One is located upstream (before the catalytic converter), often referred to as the pre-cat or upstream sensor, and the other is located downstream (after the catalytic converter), known as the post-cat or downstream sensor. In many cases, the upstream and downstream sensors are not the same and serve different purposes in monitoring and optimizing the air-fuel mixture and emissions.

Had my 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo smogged registered as a gross polluter put new oxygen sensors and cataylic converter now car runs bad and stalls what could be the problem

to reset cars cpu take both + & - battery leads off & hook them together for at least 30mins, this should reset the cpu, after this is done add a product called cataclean to your fuel & Run it at med to high revs, best to drive it with anger, - this was the problem with mine in exactly the same situation as yours & it worked a treat for me

1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0, 276+ K, new crank sensor, new cam sensor, new throttle sensor, new plugs , new cap & Rotor, new wires, has electrical cut in / out of engine run, drop of tachometer...

Hello Lubie...

I would STRONGLY recommend you get your codes read...

I TRIED ALL that TOO...

Finally my codes... said the OXYGEN SENSORS were complaining... OBD... DTC
(on-board-diagnostic... DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES)

So... of course I changed the... OXYGEN SENSORS.

The "NEW" OXYGEN SENSORS complained just as well...

I have subsequently learned the "SENSORS" are
just doing their job...

In my case reporting on a collapsed catalytic converter.
(muffler is actually a MORE common blockage).

A little hunting around... like Auto-Zone ... Napa auto...
Pep-boys... O'Reilly Auto Parts... even MIDAS might
yield FREE READINGs... (check around).

Just remember to wear your best SALES RESISTANCE...

and look up you prices on ROCKAUTO...
before you go... Hope this helps.

Try gently tapping the starter motor with a hammer or bar. There may be a bad contact in the sollenoid or the starter motor brushes worn to their limit. Tapping may give you a tempory fix if the problem lies in the starter motor.
