2006 Nissan Altima Gas gage and AC not working

The gas gage and the AC are not working; however, the blower of the AC is working.
Seems to be an electrical/electronic problem, and this malfunction began unexpectedly.
The car has 15K miles.
Is there a sensor (relay) or electronic component I need to check and replace, and how do I do this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I had the same problem recently, but gave me 2 codes knock sensor (which will not activate the service light as i found around)
and gave me the air flow mass sensor. took it out clean it,
change the air filter, with a good one, vacum the inside of the filter holder and light went of about 2 days later.

SOURCE: 2003 Nissan Altima 2.5S, Check Engine Light Problem.

this problem could be caused by the mass air flow censor, i had the same problem with my car. it is really pricey at the dealer so you might want to check elsewhere for this part. I found one at a scrap yard for 85% less that the dealer and i also got life time warranty, the dealer does not offer any warranty on this part.

I would check your intake gasket. Get your self ome carb cleaner in a spray form/can and perfrom this test. Run the car and spray the carb cleaner on your intake gasket which is right by your injectors. So pretty nuch spray it at the injector rail and listen fot change in idle, If the idle changes, the intake gasket is torn and you are running lean, because of a vaccum leak. Common problem on your model car. Perform test and let me know what you find.

2006 Nissan Altima. What could cause it to run hot when AC is on and cause AC to blow hot air?

Question edited for clarity, add maker and typo 'Alima'.
Question moved from AC Cars, maker of the AC Cobra.

Let's deal with the overheating engine first.

You may have air in the system

https://www.fixya.com/cars/r29872074-vehicle_cooling_system_no_heat

Or is may be the coolant temperature sensor not turning the radiator fan on, fan relay, or the fans themselves.

There are a number of things that could be the issue. Here is the fuse box diagram. You have two fuses and a relay covering the Air Conditioning.

https://fuse-box.info/nissan/nissan-altima-l31-2002-2006-fuses-and-relays

The system may need refrigerant gas, but check the fuses and relay first as it sounds electrical because the green signal light isn't on..

Much of the issues you have are ultimately controlled by the Body Control Module and you may have a computer communication issue. The only way to diagnose that is by an auto electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer to check modules, sensors and the computer networks. This is not a $125 scanner, they cost between $3.5k to $5k.

1993 nissan altima seems like it isn't getting gas starts but rpm won't go above 1 or2

Check the fuel filter and fuel pump. If the fuel filter is dirty it will restrict the flow of gas to the injection. Also check the fuel pump pressure to make sure it is still working correctly.

Ac compressor will not engage when ac is on. System seems to be full of gas. Quit without warning. This is on a 2003 Nissan Altima with 2.5L. Secondary fan does come on when AC is switched on.

Check A/C compressor relay. When you say it seems to be full of gas(freon) have you actually put a pressure gauge on the system? If the pressure is too low, the compressor will not engage. If the compressor relay is functioning, check for power at the compressor clutch. If it has power to it and it still is not engaging, the A/C clutch may need replacing. It is usually almost as economical to replace the complete compressor with clutch installed than to just purchase a clutch. Keep in mind if you replace the compressor you should also replace the receiver/dryer also referred to as the accumulator.
