tyr disconnecting the battery with the trunck in 2 wheel mode, leave off for 1-2 min. then reconnect and try again, there may also be a software update required to solve this!

Are you sure this is FRESH fuel? Or residual? Drain it and then turn key on to hear fuel pump prime the lines. There is a valve on the fuel rail to remove air in this line as well. Do you hear the pump? If so then most likely its your fuel regulator on the top rear area of the engine. IF you don't hear the pump -- TEST FUEL PUMP. Fuel injection needs a specific pressure (Constant pressure!)
Removing a tank installed fuel pump is tricky! You need a tool from GM. However, with PATIENCE, you can try to use two SMALL flat-head screwdrivers and CAREFULLY WORK THE METAL TABS AROUND THEN PLASTIC FUEL PUMP CONNECTIONS. Tank HAS TO BE lowered some to reach up and accomplish this.
I went through trouble shooting and spending my money on ALL the EXPERT shops suggestions. This was finally the cure!

What can happen to a fuel rail that would require replacement?
From what I can see with a camera there apears to be a crack it's fresh fuel starts to leak as soon as you cycle the key. It's not rusty at all very hard to see either way I got to find out how to get at it.
