I have a 2008 jeep grand cherokee which is parked always outside. I had a lot of electric problems such as:
- loss of memory on front seats and radio configurations,
- windows which do not slide and shut,
- centralized door closing which does not work...
- etc.
More recently, I could not start at all (after a long rainy week end). Went to Jeep, they changed only the battery. 6 days after, red battery alert and strong burning smell. Jeep changed the alternator. One week after, same failure. Could not start the vehicule, no electricity. Went to Jeep a third time, Jeep noticed a flat batterry but no fault. So they are stuck. On our side, my spouse and I only notice the failure to happen after long weeks of continuous rain, and pretty high degree of humitdity..
Any idea of what could happen?
1) Electrical problems are part of the Jeep heritage. The **** engineers have been ignoring the problems since the 1990s.
>>>> 2) Honestly, the idiots at the dealer probably ignored a very COMMON problem - the Ground cable. Remove it from battery AND most importantly where it screws onto insider fenderwell. Use soda water, bicarb, and Wire brush to remove the white fuzzy corrosion. Reinstall and dust bicarb on top of the battery. Spray WD40 on battery post conectors and the fenderwell connection BEFORE dusting with the bicarb.

You should look into your state's lemon law. You may just have gotten a bad egg.
