I unhooked battery now radio will not work.how do I reset

You will need to input a code into the radio. The code is normally printed on a card and placed into the folder containing your car service record and user manual. There should be instructions on how to input the code.

How to enter radio code

DEPENDS ON THE MAKER OF THE CAR

When you turn your car on... Does the word "CODE" Show up?

If it does... Then using the Radio Channel Selector Buttons like they are Numbers....

Codes are normally "4" numbers

Enter the code and then it either accepts it and you have your Radio or rejects it.

If you put the wrong code in too many times, then you will be locked out and are required to bring the car to the Dealership. they have a Special Computer that can reset the radio and allow you to re-enter the code again. I would get the Code from the RADIO and ensure you have the correct Code before I got too far along

My battery died in my 735i, 1988 bmw. my radio stopped working. it shows 'code' on the radio. my code is 1545. i input it but nothing happens. what is the correct sequence to get it working?

If the wrong code was entered too many times the system locks itself out and you must wait approximately 30 minutes before you attempt to input the code. It is important that in this time that the radio is on, and that you don't attempt to enter the code. If this doesn't work I would verify that you actually have the correct code. The code is not written anywhere on the radio as it comes from the factory, however there is a serial number on the back of the radio that allows the dealership to retrieve it easily.

1993 SAAB CSE LOCKED STEREO

If this stereo is a clarion and original equipment and uses a a four digit code. First thing you do is with the power on to the radio, push and hold the band button for a few seconds until you see the word "code" on the radio display. Input the code and radio should work. If that doesn't work, then if you have tried to input a wrong code several times then radio will lock out. So what you need to do is
the radio has to be on for one hour uninterrupted, then you can do the band button procedure , code input again and hopefully the radio goes on. Hopefully this helps. Please advise results

Need to input my radio code on 2005 Honda Civic

ok your radio displays ERR , OK 3 options let it sit for an hour turned on , to reture to CODE display , or pull the radio fuse out for a minute and put it back in , returning to the CODE display , or disconnect the battery for a minute , returning to the CODE display . you got the ERR display because the code was wrong or not entered correctly , make your choice of getting the radio back to the CODE display by 1 of those 3 choices , while the radio displays CODE , use the preset buttons , if the first number of your code is 4 , then press the #1 preset button 4 time , when the first number has been input , put the 2nd number in by pressing the #2 prest button , if 2nd number of code is 8 , press the # 2 preset button 8 times till the # 8 is displayed , and so on . you see where this is giong ? when you have entered all the numbers correctly you will have you radio back . when you say you have the radio code , good luck ! were rooting for ya .
