Remove the bowl under carb,full of trash.

It should have a guide rail that tensions the Belt via an external bolt....1/16in. belt deflection on opposite side of guide rail.....To time, Place piston at top of stroke(top dead center)......Take the valve cover off to observe Cam Position......Both Intake and Exhaust valves should be closed (heel of the Cam Lobe)....There should be noticeable shake in both rocker arms....With timing belt installed in this position and properly tensioned....You are in time..........

If you have been running out of gas a lot, I would suspect trash in the fuel filter. Whether the filter be in the tank or inline under the hood, it should be checked to see if its clogged. I doubt if its a problem with the gas, it should have still fired up.

your cat is clogged! do not cut it off (i'm supposed to say this because that's illegal), because cutting it off you be a temporary fix, and the cops can cite you for it.Take it in and have it replaced pronto. (also Scott lawn fertilizer can help replace that bad patch haha). ;P
