SOURCE: 2000 Hyundai Accent GL check engine

i just replaced the timing belt, and asked the garage to look at the transmission for me because i thought i was experiencing some subtle shifting problems. they told me the transmission looked fine, but i needed a new filter and fluid. the engine light didnt turn on til a couple weeks later tho. does this sound like a new filter and fluid would fix this problem?

Why does my 2001 Hyundai accent stall? Auto Zone ran a check and these are the numbers they came up with P0108,P0300,P1123,P0304,P0303, P0302, P0301 They say AIC does not come up as bad. What do I do?

that autozone sales person should have asked when is the last time it had a tune up... ie, spark plugs etc...

reset the ecu/ecm and clear the codes... see if the same codes come back to verify

look for vacuum leaks first if you already done a tune up by changing those worn spark plugs, etc

Lifter problem in 2001 Hyundai accent GL

The noise you hear could very well be a lifter. But that is not what is causing your engine light to come on. The engine light problem can be diagnosed by having the codes read. You can have this done for free at most national parts chains such as Advance or Auto Zone. Good luck! I hope you find this to be very helpful!

I have a 2000 accent. when the weather is damp, I get extreme misfiring which clears up after a couple of blocks. Similar to the old cracked rotor cap problem. Also have code P1123. Any help would be...

This problem of misfire in the damp is commonly caused by faulty HT leads or electronic coils. Check all plug leads first.

P1123 fault code is often associated with a faulty MAF on Hyundai cars. However first start at the air inlet tube, checking for obstructions or leaking vacuum hose which may also cause this code to show.
