Thermostart have just purchased a used Mercedes C200 esprit 1998 model. My problem is that the temperature of the water ithat cools the engine is always above 80 and the water boil easily.

1998 C200 elegance auto, will not crank the engine over just makes clunk.
Could be a defective battery, bad solenoid, or even bad ignition switch. When I was fixing cars, I always replaced the solenoid when I replaced the starter, but your mechanic might not have.

I have a Mercedes c200 petrol 1996 model the engine oil keeps doubling up .there is no sign of water in oil , the yellow oil light comes on on high speed ,what could be the problem
have you checked the trans fluid level? It could be trans fluid geting in through a vacuume hose. vacuume modulator on the trans may be bad.

My Mercedes Benz c200 automatic choke has suddenly stopped and the car stalls when trying to select drive until the engine is warm but once warm the engine is fine so there are no problems with the idler...
Check the Air Intake Temperature sensor, that is used by the control module to determine when to start and stop the choke. The AIT is mounted on the air intake.
