Look up the Manufacturer on the internet or write to them and request an owners manual and they will probably send you one for free.

How to identify infrared glass

very hard to tell for the untrained eye.but here goes, infrared is a solar film on the windshield (used mostly on high end bmw's). from the outside look at the perimeter of the windshield, the out side 2-3 inches, and see if you can see a difference in the glass. I know there is a black frit band around the edge, that's not it, but the infrared does not run into the black frit band and you can see the infrared end. also in the center by the rear view mirror is your rain sensor. a rain sensor cannot "see" through infrared therefore there is a missing patch or cut out for the rain sensor. again look for a difference in the glass (not the black frit band) I take it you are getting your windshield replaced. Infrared windshields are very expensive and not that common. You can replace a infrared with a regular windshield and vis versa no problem (just you won't have the infrared). stop in at your local glass shop and ask a tech to look and tell you if it is infrared. Similar issue with my 2005 Odyssey, although I (and the dealer) tried all doors and interior lights and can't get alarm to activate. Seems to do so intermittently, however (once in a while, randomly). ...

Could be that the key and the CPU are not talking to each other. In your handbook there should be 1. and emergency code and 2. instructions on how to code the key. Follow the instructions given and see if that works. If not then get the MAIN dealer to programme the key & the CPU to each other.

Hope that works

Got a new remote hoe do i programme it to work

Who made the Alarm, when was it made. Is it setup to accept programmable alarms. There are a lot of variables. Your best method to get the information is to look in the user manual for the alarm or search the web for your alarm. ie GOOGLE: {Alarm manufaturer}+{Alarm Type}+User Guide On may Audiovox alarms you can disconnect the Negative terminal on the battery and when you reconnect it press and hold the Alarm off button on your remote and the alarm detects and sets to the signal on others you have to press a switch on the alarm horn to do this. It varies.

2002 BMW 530I ALARM GOES OFF ALL THE TIME BY ITSELF

that is rarely the case actually, bmw's during the 2001 to 2004 models have a known alarm electronic issue.

Your problem is the cause of one or more of the following:

1. faulty hood enclosure sensor damaged from engine heat
2. interior motion sensor is faulty
3. the alarm sensor module
4. OR the sensitivity needs recalibration

None of these are cheap quick fixes, but taking your vehicle to a good mechanic is the first step.

Good luck with your issue.

My infrared remote does not work. I have an Audi A6 1995

Do you have memory seats as well? If so follow these steps I am going to refer to the keys as A and B as you have 2 of them
1) Unlock car with key A
2) Turn ignition into ON position with key A and roll down the window
3) Point Key B at IR Sensor and Click twice (perform both clicks under 5 seconds)
4) Turn off ignition and pull Key A out
5) Turn ignition into ON position with Key B
6) Point Key A at IR Sensor and Click once
7) Turn off ignition and Pull Key B out

Key A should be programmed as the Master Seat Program and Key B should be programmed for the Secondary seat program
So when you set your memory seats Key A is for Memory Position 1 and Key B is for memory position 2
if you don't have memory seats then you only have to point the receiver at the sensor and click once. That should just sync the IR Frequency and Codes
