My 2007 jaguar x type ac starts blowing warm when car is idling. what could be causing this?

The 2 vents on the drivers side have warm air blowing out. ... But a system that is 1/2 pound low will cause the passenger side vents to blow cool or cold air, and the drivers side to be less cool or even warm on this car. There is simply not enough freon capacity in the system to cool the air to the drivers side.

I would replace the AC compressor cycling switch it may be sticking have seen it a number of times. The switch is located in the receiver dryer on the passenger side of the engine compartment. See picture below.

If this isn't the problem the AC compressor relay may also cause this, flip a coin.

U could be run on eco a/c where the engine is using the power until it has extra to spare. Warm at start could be simlarly that there is now cold air yet and has to "make" cold air to distribute when ready. See if u can find a setting for reg use. cheers, ps eco saves dollars/euros.

Usually a sign the cooling fan is not working, or a problem with the freon charge in the system. In very hot weather, the ac system will not be cold at idle under normal conditions.

your a/c fan may not be working or slow, if not then your compressor is starting to fail. you could save it by changing the freon and compressor oil, if not the you have to change it.
