After the car is warmed up and you are driving the idle drops below 200 and dies when coming to a stop also when I turn the key off it sometimes keeps sputtering and jerking and won't quit. what gives?

You will probably be ok for a while if you tow it, fix the leak, and change the fluid and filter. Honda makes a pretty tough transmission. Depending on how much destroyed clutch material is in the pan when you change fluid will detrimine how long it will last. Make sure yu use the correct fluid in it. Wish you the best. There is no points or condenser on a 92 accord, check the fuel pressure first, maybe a complete tune-up will help

Sounds like the EGR Valve, Get the check engine light checked at your local garage or autozone or advance auto.

It might just need cleaning. Spray some PB Blaster around the throttle arm where the cable connects to at the base of the carb, and see if that frees up the flaps. And while spraying, fiddle with the throttle linkage.

You can in most cases repair this slow speed stall or unstable idle by cleaning the engine throttle valve and the idle speed control valve using a product called CRC Spray Throttle valve cleaner. Spray the cleaner into the air intake of the engine with the hose removed from the throttle body, the engine will try to stall so hold up the idle speed manually. Once you have used up about 1/2 can of the cleaner stall the engine out while spraying and turn the key off, disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 minutes and then reconnect and drive the car for a about 25 miles of varied driving modes. If this doesn't cure the problem you may need the fuel injectors professionally cleaned by the dealer service dept.
