fix that problem cause it will cause problem and damage the catalytic converter

No idea here no experiance but try asking at the dealers as it could be something simple like a oxygen sensor failure as these older cars are not electronicly loaded

will it restart ? can you check the computer for trouble codes ?
The check engine light would come on just as the engine dies under normal conditions.

There is a problem if you leave a check engine light on to long there is what techs call. Check light burn in the code get burn in to momery. first have a code check due fix the basic line problem if you have done that you will need a new computer ECM
.

the check engine light comes on if there is a problem with thecomputer system related to the emmision, when this is is repaired the light on can only be turned off with a monitor,code reader. some of these are quite inexpensive.over the web or at a part store.

well first of all it means that u have a problem some where on the suv the only way to find the problem is to hook a diagnostic computer and see what the code is u will have to take the car to a shop who works on isuzu and im sure they can tell u what code it is and whats wrong or u can take the suv to advance auto parts and they can hook there machine to it for free and tell u the code good luck

replace the coolant temperature sensor (2 pins)... im not sure but i think is brown...

it is possible but regardless they need to fix.
get that in writing in case something happens to engine they cant say you drove around with light on so no warranty
