SOURCE: 2001 Toyota Echo Fuel consumption

EPA mileage figures are estimates, and seldom does it have anything to do with the real world, My new car is rated at 19 city and 28 hiway, it gets 22 MPG max. The only thing you can do is make sure the pressure in the tires is correct and run the recommened oil, keep the car in good running order.

SOURCE: we broke the lugs on our toyota echo how do we

Lugs?. I guess are the wheel studs(Im in australia)
First see if toyota sells the lugs separately, if yes you can use a punch to remove the last broken bit, the new ones are installed by packing with washers and using the wheel nut to pull them back into place.
If you cant buy lugs separately, you will need a new hub from the dismantlers

SOURCE: I HAVE 2001 TOYOTA COROLLA , THE RUNNING LIGHT

First remove all the bulbs involve in the problem, then start installing the one by one, notice when the problem comeback, start looking for a melt, damage or very important wrong bulb touching two filaments at the same time.

Find the turn signal flasher and remove it, problem goes away ? inspect the circuit, the combination switch, the bulbs ans socket pig tails for short.

SOURCE: How do you fix an Igniter Circuit Malfunction -

The problem 95% of the time is an ignition coil, if you do not have special equipment, your only tool is common sense, disconnect plugs from spark plugs, remove spark plugs, now insert the plugs in the wires and set them together touching metal ground them,
Ask somebody to crank vehicle one of those wires or 2 of them if the coil is bad wont fire or the spark will be weak and orange, blue is ok. Follow the no spark or weak spark to the coil, now swap coils , repeat the same procedure if the problem follow the coil to the wires that were ok before the problem is the coil if the problem is still in the same position the problem is harness wires or computer.

How to replace gear shift light bulb in a 2001 toyota echo

The center console piece around the floor shifter should normally be held in place with plastic clips ( some are held with screws ) and should just pop up with a gentle tug. The bulb can then be accessed for replacement

On a 2001 echo the light came on the dash o/d off what does that mean

on many cars there is a switch which turns off the overdrive; if you have one maybe you hit it accidentally. the other reason for this indicator is if the transmission has overheated; the computer doesn't allow overdrive until the trans. cools down

My 2001 ford overdrive light is blinking and the first gear slips when in drive what can in be do i need to repair the trans?

The overdrive light flashe becuase it indicates an electrical fault within the system........have the checked the fluid level and conditoin.....it should be checked in park, after going thorugh all the gears allowing the oil to circulate the transmission (at idle)....and it should be a cherry red color...if it is a brown color and smells like it is burnt, you may have further damage within the transmission itself

I have a 1992 Toyota Corolla and The overdrive will not engage

not usually close to the ac it is likely eithor the od button is dosconected burnt or blew a fuse

rarely is the selinoid a fault

but if you know where the selinoid is run a direct line to it using speaker wire engage it and see if it works
if it does try and track the circut failing that run a line arround it and make it manule

1991 toyota p/u auto trans wont shift to overdrive

The trans in your truck had some problems in that era with overdrive. You will need ot check a few things to be sure it is not internal. The overdrive would often fail in those units due to the o rings used instead of lip seals.

Check the temp sensor. If it is bad the trans will not go into od. A defective solenoid in the trans for overdrive could cause it not to go in.

Check the fluid, if it is black, you may have burnt the clutches. I have know people who have driven the toyo's for years with no od. It is the same as the old three speed auto.

Hope this helps

Overdrive indication light

first of all, does it shift into overdrive, I would check and see first of all if you drive it and it does go to O.D. then press the button once, does it not go to O.D. you can do this while driving, when running about 45 press the button once, do you feel it downshift. if yes then your light is burnt out...if no run an OBDII check to see if there are nay codes for the transmission. if that checks out theN i would go for the switch being bad..
