Horn, turn signal, wiper, cruise not working
In the mb w 203, steering angle sensor (sas) is plugged in the multifunction module which is connected to the wiring harness through a snap on connector. The scan tool was constantantly indicating the fault in the sas where as on diassembly I found that one of the connector pin in the module was broken. I changed the module and the problem was fixed.

It sounds like you have what is known as a short to power. I would suggest having an automotive electrician/technician take a look at the electrical wiring and your switches. I believe it may be inside your turn signal switch. It sure sounds like many issues Ive seen over the years and the switch was the culprit. Good luck.

Because of the street rod configuration you can't install the original switches on the new column - you will have to attach them directly to the dash: the horn will be a simple press button and the turn signal switch lever will stick out perpendicularly on the dash (the same setup as in older Citroens)
Yes, they will work directly connected to a 12 volt battery but you don't have to do that. All you need to do is to modify the wiring - take the wires from the old column all the way to the steering box and route them to the new location of the switches. Just make sure the horn switch has a good ground(the horn sounds when the worn wire is connected to the ground)
