SOURCE: windshield wipers stopping or not working at all

This reply probably too late but -
Is this a wiper motor problem?
The motor may be OK but the parking switch has likely failed.  It should normally supply power until they reach their parking spot unless the main operator switch is still on and this probably controls a relay that may be faulty.
If you have had the problem corrected, you might post the problem found back here as a comment to aid others.

SOURCE: windshield wipers stay up on the windshield, wont

There is a wiper pulse board on the wiper motor itself that is failing, this can be replaced without replacing the entire unit.

SOURCE: Windshield wipers will not stop

You can pull the fuse to the wiper for now till you get it repaired. The common problem is the solder where the wire harness connects to the wiper motor goes bad. You can go to Auto Zone and replace the circuit board to the wiper module or you can save some money if you have a solder gun and some solder. The clip on the circuit board where the wire harness connects to is where it goes bad. Next time your wiper gives you problem, give the wire harness a light tap with the end of a screw driver and see if it stops or starts up. There was a recall on the wiper circuit board a while back, not sure buy you may be lucky if the dealer still has the recall active and it will not coast you anything. Good luck and hope this help's, the other thing would be the wiper switch is worn and needs to be replaced.

1993 corvette wipers will come on by the wiper switch but must be turned off by ignition switch

Since the ignition switch has to kill the power to the wipers. Replace the wiper switch. Carbon build up inside the switch is why it won't turn off. You could take the wiper switch apart and clean up the tabs with sandpaper. Beware of springs though..

My wipers turn off and on by theirself the switch has no control over it. I have replaced the wiper motor twice and that doesn't help what can be wrong ? It is a 1998 corvette

The problem is not the motor it is the switch it is grounding out and causing the wipers to come on bypassing the switch control.

My 99 vette makes a click sound when I try to start it. It wont start but the battery has a full charge. The hood light and interior lights go out when I turn the ignition key to start but they come back...

Sounds like a dead battery. However, I will tell you that these vehicles are very sensitive to voltage. Try cleaning the battery cables and tightening them properly.

How to change the wiper blades on 1987 corvette which has the pin mechanism, and not apparent release? Any ideas?

fist turn on ignition and then turn on wipers untill they are up out of their resting place then turn off ignition. now actually you should be able to slide the blade off of the pin. if not then spray some wd40 in where te pin and spring is. now get a small screw driver and push down on the spring in the center of the blade and then you should be able to pull the blade off.
Good luck

Wipeers wont shut off

My 2001 Chevrolet Malibu had the same problem. The wipers would not stop. wipers wouldn't turn off. The problem was the wiper control module filled with water, seals break down with time. The wiper control module is attached to the front of the wiper motor under a black cover (three screws). I had to remove both wiper arms and the plastic debris guard between the window and the hood. Unplug the harness attached to the wiper motor, remove the three screws. The board is in te plastic cover. I pulled board out. dried it, put it back in and sealed the compartment with silicon. Works like new.
