When I move the signal lever to a right or left turn, both front signals flash and both lights in the dashboard flash, but the rear signals work OK. Already changed flasher with no difference.

Hello I had the same problem on my 04 monte. After changing bulbs ,checking wires etc. I finally took it to the dealer and they found out it was the hazard switch. After swapping it with a new one all lights, dash etc started working again and have not had another problem

I have a 2002 Chev Cavalier that had the same exact problem. I replaced the bulb harness (purchased from a chevy dealership for around $5) which was fairly easy to do. I have had zero problems with it since.

the bulb is blown out. you need to change it. also if the bulb is not blown out or if the blinker still blink fast after you change the bulb then you have a ground problem. just remove that blinker light and check the ground wire on it. if you need to replace it and find a good groun on the car. you should be fine. this is all it is .

If you have an aftermarket trailer plug on your truck, you are going to want to inspect the wiring to the plug, and the connections in the plug. I think it's shorting out.

What the problem?
Your description says the fronts flash and the rears work o.k. To me it's sounds like every thing sounds like it is working?
Both front signal lights flash at the same time and the lights for the signal on the dash both flash at the same time. The rear signals if you select left or right turn the lights flash accordingly left or right
I replaced the Turn Signal Switch about 8weeks ago and it worked fine up to 2 weeks ago when I started having the turn signal problem
O.K. now I understand. I think this may be a ground issue. Turn the turn signals on either right or left. with the front bulbs flashing remove one of the bulbs. If the the other bulbs stops working than there is a ground issue (try remove the other bulb as well). The black wire on the socket is the ground. try running a jumper wire from as close to the socket on the black wire back to the negative post on the battery. If the lights start working normally than you will need to trace that ground wire. Each bulb in the front has its own ground so try both.
The other thing you can try is remove both of the front bulbs. Turn the turn signals on right. Check the contacts in the socket for power. There should only be power on one of the contacts in the socket and only when the switch is turn to the right for the right socket and left for the left socket. If there is power on both sockets with the switch in either position than its most likely the switch.
Thanks I will try this Tomorow my Son is usimg the car for work aand comes home late.
