YOU NEED BLEED COOLANT SYSTEM.CHECK COOLANT LEVEL IN RADIATOR.ADD MORE DEXCOOL UNTIL COOLANT LEVEL IS CLOSE TO RADIATOR SPOUT.CRANK ENGINE LET IDLE UNTIL TOP RADIATOR HOSE GET HOT.WATCH TEMPERATURE GAUGE.IF TEMPERATURE GAUGE START RISING TO HOT ZONE.TURN OFF ENGINE.LET COOL DOWN.USE LARGE RAG SLOWLY OPEN RADIATOR CAP A LITTLE AT A TIME UNTIL ALL PRESSURE RELIEVED.REMOVE RADIATOR CAP.ADD MORE COOLANT.CRANK CAR AGAIN LET IDLE UNTIL TOP RADIATOR GET HOT.KEEP EYE ON TEMP.GAUGE ALSO.WHEN TEMP.GAUGE STOP CLIMBING.YOUR COOLANT SYSTEM BLED.WHEN DONE LET CAR SET A WHILE CHECK COOLANT LEVEL.ALSO FIRST THING IN THE MORNING CHECK COOLANT LEVEL AGAIN.AND BESURE ADD COOLANT IN THE OVERFLOW JUG TO THE COLD MARK.DONT OVER FILL THE COOLANT RESERVOIR JUG.WORK SAFELY DONT GET SCALDED.
The worst that could happen is that BUG liquid is not ANTI-FREEZE... and in the worst cast scenario is that your COOLANT will FREEZE in cold temperature. I dont know the chemical composition of the Bug Liquid but my guess is, that its mostly water. If your coolant tank is not overfilled I would tryin to add - pure anti-free NOT the 50/50... If you can add you can still add the same quantity of ANTIFREEZE as the quantity of BUG liquid you added, you should be alright.
That being said, neither I nor any mechanic is likely to know what will happen with the bug liquid at High Temperatures of the engine. This is more important if you are planning to keep this car for more than a few years.
When you drive, keep an eye on the temperature of the engine, if you notice un-usually high temperature, that may be a sign that your bug liquid is RUINING the thermostat.
But basically if you dont want to have this head-ache, go to your local mechanic, and tell him that you want your cooling system drained and FLUSHED. (and Refilled with ANTI-FREEZE properly mixed)
You dont want to find out what happens when WATER FREEZEs inside the engine. What Happens When the water freezes? IT EXPANDS, and you dont want that. Unless you are planning to buy a new engine.
If this was helpful PLEASE leave feedback. Thanks
I would see if the oil sensor on the block or filter area is plugged in. If it is then I would just go ahead and change it. If the light is still on then you might want to have an oil pressure test done. If you don't have a pressure gauge that screws into the sensor hole, then you might want to have it done to make sure the pump is still good. Let us know how it goes.
Check transmision oil level, Place car in park, hand break, open motor compartment and check transmision oil level with motor on idle. Good level?: transmision is bad, repare or replace the whole unit. bad level: complete and check for leakeges.
No wonder I coudnt find it thanks
