SOURCE: I need help with my water pump in my saab900-sport.
The water pump is located at the firewall end of the engine. If your car has A/C. it makes it a little more difficult, as you'll find the compressor is in the way and difficult to work around. ONLY if your A/C system is empty, could you disconnect the hose to the A/C compressor. Otherwise you might consider disconnecting the entire compressor from the engine (but not opening theA/C sytem so you don;t loose the gas) and moving it out of the way if you can't work around it.
There are four bolts holding the pulley to the case; loosen these then remove the drive belt(s). The belts hold the pulley steady while you loosen the bolts.
Remove the pulley completely.
Then remove the bolts holding the pump to the case; NOTE the position of the longer bolts - you'll need to reinstall these in the same locations!
Install the new pump in reverse order; make sure you use new gaskets.
Penetrating oil liberally sprayed on all bolts before removal eases the work.
Good luck!

SOURCE: where is the transmission fluid located? how to get a manual for free?
There is a transmission dip stick on the side of the engine, this is used to check the trans fluid level. The engine oil dipstick has a large diameter plastic cap, and is on the left/driver's side of the car (in North America); the trans dipstick has two notches at the bottom when removed and a label telling the fluid to use. The best source of info on this car is the "Bentley Bible" aka the Saab 900 Official Service Manual, costs about $40 from Amazon! 16 valve manual: http://www.amazon.com/Saab-900-Valve-Service-Manual/dp/0837603137 8 valve manual :http://www.amazon.com/Eight-Official-Service-Manual-1981-1988/dp/0837603102 get the appropriate manual for your car and enjoy the Saab!. + If this helps, please give a "thumbs up", thanks. saabreur
SOURCE: how do I replace my 2004 Saab 9 3 linear's water pump.
Re : the computer , they better cover it under warranty or they ****.
Re : the water pump , you have a leak and they say it is the water pump , I have no reason to doubt that they have honestly checked out the problem and determined that a new water pump is the only solution but , damn $ 1000 is pretty steep. I would look around for another mechanic for a second opinion and a quote. Avoid dealerships. Not sure what engine you have but i just looked in my saab with a 2.3 and hope I never have to do mine. I am pretty good with a wrench but I know there would be lots of swearing involved.

not sure, run a code scanner on it and post the trouble code that would help to diagnose. Your local auto parts store can probably scan it for you.

far as the fan goes i would check the fuses under the hood to see if is blown. As far as the water gushing do you know exactly where it is coming from. If the block is cracked, then you have an major issue which means you will have to replace it, but if the water pump is leaking than that can be easy replaced because the have an rubber gasket that can be damaged causing you to loose your fluids. Best wishes.
Checked the fuses n they're all good. I'm going to jack car up today to get a better look on where the water is pouring ot from. Thanks
