Remove the glove box door. The PCM in a Grand Am is located behind the glove box. You do not need to remove the entire glove box, just the door. Remove the glove box by opening the door any emptying its contents. Squeeze together the outside part of the glove box that becomes visible while open. Squeezing it will release the clip from its fastener, and the glove box will slip right off.

I've got a 2000 mazda protege lx 1.6 I'm trying to find the location of the computor for my car or computors if there are more then one I have no clue. Anything will help!

mazda has typically put them one of 3 places.

1. passenger floor board. there is a panel under the carpet on the passenger's side where they have put it on some models.

2. under the dash. it will be kind of obvious but don't confuse it with any of the other control modules.

3. under the center console. there are very few with them located here, but it will be in the center console in front of the shifter if applicable.

Check these places and you will find it.
Best wishes!

Computor says shift A selonoid where is it located to replace it Thanks bob

A shift solenoid is located inside the automatic transmission and you should probably leave that job up to a repair shop that specializes in transmissions.

Hope help with this.

Where is computor located on 2001 kia sportage

The connector, to plug in a scanner, to read the computer is located just under the dashboard edge on the right side of the steering column. I think the computer module is the silver metal box located under the dash attached to the firewall just to the left of the steering column.

Location of computor module for keypad entry

the keyless entry module is on the drivers side of the truck up under the dash directly above the emergency brake. The tag should have a 5 digit number in bold, that is your door code.

04 f150 code p1633

I looked up the code you posted, and came back as kam (keep alive memory). It's a series of battery powered memory locations in the computor which allows it to store input failures identified during normal operation for use in later diagnostic routines.KAM even adopts some calibration parameters to compensate for changes in the vehicle system The only way that I know of to fix it is replace the computor, but have it checked out first. Hope this helped.
