Fuel guage is also whacky. Maybe a bad ground that is related to rear pumps? Front pump works fine.

I don't know if this will come thru or not. You may need to get a shop manual to get all of the diagrams to troubleshoot the circuits.
The diagram I found shows two tanks, and each one has a relay for the pump. The relays and gauge are controlled by the PCM and both pumps are grounded together. This may or may not match your truck.

SOURCE: need a wiring diagram for

I have found the wiring diagrams online to be unreliable -- they sometimes are listed under the wrong model or year, and have often caused me a lot of frustration and confusion. It is possible that you can get one, but for the sake of reliability you should probably pick up a Haynes manual for your truck - - it will have all of the diagrams you are looking for, as well as many other useful bits of information for repairing your truck. You might have more luck finding the diagram than I ever did ... but I still recommend picking up a Haynes manual for your future reference -- at under $30 US it can save you thousands in mechanic costs (if you have the time and tools to do your own repairs). These manuals are available at most auto-parts stores and larger bookstore chains.
If you are unable to find the Haynes manual for your truck, or just have your mind set on getting one online, you should include a bit more information to assist with your search:
1. Make, Model and year of your truck (which is here) 2. Engine size / type (is it a diesel, turbo-diesel, hemi, standard 5.7 L gasoline engine?) 3. Are there any engine or other upgrades that could affect the wiring? 4. Is it your entire wiring harness that needs replacing, or just the fuel gauge wiring? 5. Does the truck have an automatic or a manual transmission? (this can affect the wiring harness style and connections). 6. Do you know why the wiring burned out in the first place? (so you can possibly avoid the same issue in the future by changing where the wires sit when connected is possible)
I wish you the best of luck ... if you can't find the Haynes manual, please reply with the above information and I will do my best to help you find the appropriate wiring diagrams for your truck.

How do i replace front fuel pump on a 1995 ford f150 5.0litre extended cab dual tanks how do i remove tank

May be easier to loosen rear box bolts, remove the
front bolts & tip up the bed, rather than lay on your back
& have to drop the tank & that way you don't have the
fuel removal issue, can stand there & just work on top
of tank

96 f-250 ex-cab the front tank isn't delivering gas to the engine & the rear tank is having trouble also. I changed the fuel pump in front tank but no help.

Fuel lines could be blocked or even partially blocked or a simple fuse. Try blowing out your fuel lines with an air hose and see if that makes a difference

Hi they do have a two sump fuel tank as they have the rear driveshaft running through the middle of the fuel tank so they use a transfere pump to pump fuel from one sump to the main one with the pick up tube so he is right in a way, however the only problem that would cause this is the transfer pump and it would do it all the time if that were the case id would think the prob maybe the main fuel pump itself maybe having a loose wire

No the pump and fuel filter in tank is what is causing the problem. You either have a partical restriction in the fuel filter or the pump is not putting out enough pressure to run the truck. hope this will help you.
