New switch for the passenger side. The drivers side switch may be wired through the passengers side switch witch will make it not work if the passengers side switch is bad. Just a thought. Hope this helps.
u need to remove the access panel for the rear window.ther u will find the moter for the window bare the wires and jumpthe wire with a pos connection.i dont remember witch wir e but u will now when the window gos down does the inside switch not work?
The problem is the cable is broke but you will need to replace the window regulator, the regulator comes complete with all cables and brackets, if it was off the track you would not be able to pull the window up and down and also the window would not go up the correct way it would not shut good, here a picture of the regulator, i'm not sure what kind of car or the year but they look the same, hope this helps you good luck.
First remove the paneling (of the door) apply electricity to the motor, it doesnt matter to witch side as they both will carry power from one time to another, if that works, try checking the main switch on the driver side door, if you can get a friend to loan you his while you check or you might have to buy one. Its either the main switch or the passengers side switch if the window goes up when direct juice is applied to it.
the window switches in the door can offten go bad just from sticky fingers. some times the are known to just stop working all of a sudden. it is also posible that the motor has gone bad, or more likely a bad conection at the motor or switch. the door switches on the mustangs are not the most sturdy switches. the tend to break loose and move around. u can test the motor by simply runing 12volts the the terminals on it. depending on witch terminal has power and witch has ground determins if the windo goes up or down. also check with volt meter or test light that there is power to the switch, just turn the key on and ground the test light and plug in the terminal that goes to that switch.
should be from the outside pointing the window down inside the slot to where the window goes in. And make sure all the seals that are on the door are removed and use a cap wedge to hold the opening apart while you install the track assy.
disconnect battery reconect after 5 mins on reconnection rear window
will go down , use key in rear lock to reset rear window, door lock
should now work, if not try rear door relays behind left hand rear
panel.
if you look under cover for fuses it should tell you witch fuse is for what. there will be coresponding numbers. for all electrical components that are fused. under hood or inside car.
