Gas pedal Problem

The temp has recently drop to around -21 degrees. I own a 2007 Ford Focus SES. When i start up the car, the RPM's race to nearly max. When driving it feels like the throttle is stuck, the rpms are not steady. As the vehicle warms up abit, the rpms drop abit, when i come to a stop, the rpms will race to around 5000 then 10 seconds later it will drop to normal.

you may have a vacuum leak, or a bad idle air control valve, the first thing to do is have the computer scaned for codes, you can go to an autozone parts store they scan for free,if there are no codes then look for a vacuum leak around the intake may have a bad vacuum hose.

Wers the heater motor situated on the focus mk 1

It does not have a heater motor. The temp control door is controlled by cables located on the driver's side near the gas pedal. If you are talking about the blower motor it is located on the passenger side behind the glove box.

Its to hot driving this car

Two ways to help with your problem....You can get a section of aluminum or tin and fashion a heat shield to cover the area that is making the floor hot. when attaching it, use spacers so it stands away from the attachment points. You can also buy heat wrap and heat "blankets" form many race suppliers (I know for sure they are available from Summit racing). Wrap goes on pipes etc and blanket can be installed under your rug. I know it's annoying to have to fix a poor factory design, but at least there is a cure.
Good luck!!
