It would be best to pressure test the cooling system for leaks but it might be that there was an airlock still in the system wich bleed itself out causing the water level to drop a bit.

SOURCE: Steam from front end of car

FIRST, THE STEAM IS A INDICATION THAT YOU DO HAVE A LEAK. CHECK TO MAKE SURE THAT THE OVERFLOW TANK ISN'T THE CULPRIT. SECOND, IF YOU ARE IN AN AREA WITH COLD WEATHER YOU SHOULD DEFINATLY HAVE ANTIFREEZE IN THE ENGINE SO THAT THE WATER DOESN'T FREEZE. IT COULD ALSO BE A FAULTY HOSE. TRY TO LET THE ENGINE WARM UP AND LEAVE IT RUNNING WHILE YOU CHASE DOWN THE LEAK. START WHERE THE STEAM IS COMING FROM.

SOURCE: antifreeze/coolantleak

Could be leaking on the inside, head gasket is a possibility. A bad gasket lets coolant into the combustion chamber and burn with the fuel and you will never see it on the ground. Yes, coolant will burn, I've seen it as I was grabbing a fire extinguisher.

SOURCE: water from radiator is boiling over to antifreeze

That is what the over flow reservoir is for. But if it is a lot of water than it could be a problem. If the engine runs hot and overheats from time to time and adding coolant does not help than there is something wrong. Just monitor the engine temp for a time to see if it is getting hot.

SOURCE: i have water leaking problem i installed brand new radiator but..

Does the vehicle have white smoke from exhaust while running? If so could have a head gasket leaking or cracked cylinder head. Pressure test the cooling system, you may be able to find a leak

I have a Monterey sport latest model which i drove recently on a tour then suddenly on my way there were white smoke coming out of the radiator cap after that we took it to the montero service station and...

are you sure it was smoke and not steam? without seeing this substance myself, I am thinking it could POSSIBLY be oil in your cooling system. Didnt the mechanic tell you? It would mean a serious problem. This "waxy" substance is what happens when oil mixes with water. It might mean your car overheated and cracked the block. I hope this isnt true. Ihave seen this before. Take off the radiator cap. Roll up a piece of white paper and slip it down into the radiator. When you bring it out, it should not have anything but water/antifreeze on it. If there is any black substance, thats oil.It got into the cooling system. Now check the oil dipstick. If it looks greyish, it means water/antifreeze got into the oil system. I'm not an expert and this is just my personal opinion. Check your radiator fluid.first. Dont drive the car if you find "oil in the water." It will cause further damage and if you plan on having the car fixed, dont take that chance.

My 2003 galant is leaking antifreeze onto my transmission resivior, trouble shoot?

This could be a cracked tank for your radiator filler. Try placing a clean paper towel under the antifreeze tank and fill it with coolant. If there is a crack in the tank you will see it or the results of it. Replace the antifreeze tank - these things get cracked when people put water in the tank instead of mixed water and antifreeze. You get a hard freeze and bingo - your coolant tank breaks - usually on a seam and underneath it where you can't easily see it.

My car over heated one day so i pulled over waited for it to cool off put water in it drove it about another 15 to 20 min then parked it now it wont start there is no oil in the radiator or nothing like...

-You mean you see oil inside the radiator. ? If so then head gasket is blown or may be the head is cracked. Now water and oil are mix together.
-Do compression test to find out. If no compression then it need to be rebuild.

Good luck

Put in new thermo and now the antifreeze keeps blowing out

You need to make sure you get any air pockets out of the engines coolant system before you drive anywhere. If you dont see the air bleeder try this. Fill the radiator and put the recovery bottle about half full. Put the cap on the radiator and let the car run for 5 minutes then turn it off and let it cool off. Carefully remove rad. cap and see if it needs more coolant. If it does not put cap back on and let it run for 10 minutes.Turn it off and let it cool then check it again.
Dont be in a hurry! To many people will drive with an air pocket and over heat the engine! Most of the newer cars do trap air if you let some of the coolant out.
Wear safety glasses when removeing radiator cap slowly,to be safe.
I hope this helps you.

Radiator issues

well, 50 50 means half antifreeze and half water. if your tight on money, get straight coolant and mix with water. 50% coolant/antifreeze and 50% water. That's why it's called texaco 50/50. Your paying more for there water then you would out of your faucet. If your not able to fix the leak yourself, take it to a shop. You can spend around $200 in a shop now or $300 in antifreeze over the next year. Your choice but to me it's better to fix now then later. Cuz if it runs dry, motor overheats. Hot motor means scorched piston walls and warpped heads. Meaning around $1400 in repairs if not more. If you can find the leak, I should be able to help you with the process of fixing/replacing neccesary parts. If it's simple enough, you should only need basic hand tools.
