The car runs fine for awhile and then starts to hesitate and stall when I accellerate. I have changed the spark plugs and wires and have changed the fuel filter twice since I got the car. I've put premium gas in it and I have also tried different additives. Can't figure out why I starts shaking and stalling when I put my foot on the gas.
And it could also be the fuel pressure regulator
I had a 2000 windstar that would be hard to start then would sometimes me stalk when the gas pedal was depressed..turns out it was a bad fuel pressure regulator
Good luck
I would checkout the throttle position sensor.

lisalavin,
You said,
My 1990 Buick century stalls out when in park after idling for a minute
or two and stalls out when brake is applied. last night it did this every time I had to stop or make a slow turn it also started shaking a
bit but if i released gas a little bit it would stop. i thought the
shaking might be the cvu joint as it needs to be replaced but it
started doing it on straight aways and hills also but would still stop
shaking if gas was eased up on. Closer to home when it was stalling
the only way I could get it to stay running while I put it in drive was
to have one foot on the brake and the other on the gas. Is this a
matter of changing the fuel filter or is it something more complicated?
It can be one of many things causing this!
1. Low idle, needs to be raised
2. A vacuum leak, needs to be diagnosed.
3 The choke, if it's when it's cold or the engine is cold and not up to running temp.
4.But, I'll l bet it's a idle sensor
Or last and probably NOT a broken baffle in the cat converter!
this usually happens more often not just with the stop but even when driving!
Bless you,

SOURCE: Car starts then stalls out...
could be to many thing to take chances with, but most commonly;fuel filter, gas line antifreeze or a crack in your air intake which would take your vacuum seal away, start with the least expensive and work from their. Worst case scenario pinched fuel line

a very common issue on these is the crankshaft position sensor, it is sensitive to heat when it goes bad, had the issue on my own Buick.

it may be fuel injector wiring. since you have check the compression and the replaced the injector. it is time to take a look at the injector wires.
