Try tuneup and fuel filter first would be my suggestion.

SOURCE: Location of blower motor switch resistor on 2004 Grand Marquis

The blower speed controller is located under the hood on the right or passenger side on the heater housing just to the side of the heater hoses near the very back of the right cylinder head.
Yes that would cause the concern you are having.

SOURCE: rear shocks on a 1996 Mercury Grand Marquis

Raise car under frame then put jack under axle before removing the shock.
Can use locking pliers to hold the shaft from turning (may have to cut away dust boots). Top nuts are accessed and can be seen from the wheel wells or from the gap between the trunk and mount frame (can't see nut from this angle). Take care with fuel lines near the driver side nut.
Preventing shafts from turning on new shocks will be tough. Make sure you have a proper tool to fit top of shaft with enough room between top of shaft and trunk (gap decreases as the nut is tightened) so the tool can be removed.

SOURCE: where are the spark plugs located on a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis

There are eight COPs (coil-on-plugs) to remove. Using a 7mm or 9/32" socket, remove each bolt securing each COP to the intake manifold on top of the engine. Remove all eight COPs, and the spark plugs are underneath. When replacing the spark plugs, use only the proper Ford/Motorcraft plugs, even if they cost twice as much as the aftermarket ones. You will avoid further headaches this way. Hope this helps.

When I start my 1992 grand Marquis it wont stay started, but when I finaly do get it started it turns off at stop signs and red lights. It also does a off and on jerking action when I accelerate . Wat is...

This happened in a 93 lincoln towncar that I bought. (basically the same car, 4.6 liter engine) Ended up being the "idle air control valve" which was a recalled item and was free. Plus a few rotted vacuum lines that cost about 5 bucks. I think I paid about 100 in labor.

I have a 96 Mercury Grand Marquis. The car lurches while driving feeling like it will conk out. Usually when going uphill on the highway and trying to accelerate or maintain speed. This does not happen all...

I have a 96 Grand Marquis with a similar problem. Also on the highway it would just conk out on me suddenly, almost felt like I was hitting the brakes, then it would pick up again. Eventually got to the point where it was stalling out on the highway and at red lights. One day it wouldn't start. Mechanic said the fuel filter was clogged solid. It has run well but every once in awhile still stalls out on me. From talking with other Grand Marquis owners and the mechanic the Mass Air Flow sensor may be to blame. He wanted to charge me $400 but I found the part online for about $85.

Yes,
There are i think two switches, a Nuetral switch which help helps you start your car, and a cruise/hi speed switch for highway driving.

2001 mercury grand marquis. Engine stutters or hesitates with jerking when lightly accelerating. Seems like an air, fuel, or spark delivery problem. At wide open throttle this problem is not as noticeable....

Start car and use a squirt bottle of water to wet the wires and coil, if you see it spark or run rough one or both are bad, repair the wires first as they are more common.

Remove front grill from 96 mercury grand marquis

Start at the top and remove every screw or bolt that you can find going through it. As you remove one from the right side, look for another one on the left side in the same basic area. You might have to stand on your head to find a few of them.
