HOW DO YOU REMOVE THE HEATER CORE IN A 1992 ISUZU TROOPER

You must remove the complete heater core and a/c evaporator from under the dash. It goes from the center of the dash to the passanger side of the dash. You have to remove the glove box, remove the heater hoses, vac. lines to the controlers. Bolts that hold the unit to the firewall. Also must remove small vents at bottom of the dash. Would be much easier if you would just tell me what area you are having problems with. After you are done you will have to recharge your a/c system. This is not a job for a novice.

Leaking heater core

No, but you may get by just removing the passenger side, without taking the whole dashboard off. If what I looked up is correct its located near the glove box. Behind the dash. The hardest part of this job is getting that dash back on. If you only have to take off the one side that will help immensely!

Remove heater core e150 econoline van

a big job and difficult. even two experienced mechanics with proper tools this job will take a full day maybe longer to do it right.
there is risk of never getting this back together correct and a mistake can cause more damage so if doing the core replacement keep this in mind

on the 97 and 98 e vans theres a defective blend door that fails.

if the core itself is not leaking your in luck. the core cover. once removed has the door behind core .what you do is drill a small hole in center of blend door, and one in the dash then use a coat hanger to move up and down to open and close door manually. see notabs.org/pictures/FordBlendDoor.

a way around removing the entire heater core ! 700 to 1500 bucks?
im going to save the money and rig up the manual wire trick for zero dollars. just about 10hours of labor and patience. even this job isnt easy. you will have to do it yourself cause most mechs wont mess with it .

Replacing a heater core

Not an easy job. You must drain the radiator first. Then the water hoses at the fiewall need to be removed. There are two and they are behind the engine and low so maybe easier from under the car. Then you need access under the dash on the passanger side to remove the front cover of the heater box. There are usually 8 to 10 screws to locate-some are difficult-and it is easier if you remove gove box. Once the cover is off the heater core will slide out.
if this helps please reply and good luck

Replacing heater core 98 ford ranger

this is not a fun job. You need to remove the front cover (facing you) under the dash of the heater box. Usually 8 to 10 screws and not all are easy to reach. Then drain the rediator and remove the two hoses at the firewall that attach to the heater core. Once this is achieved the core slides out easily. sounds easier than it is. good luck

Where is the heater core located in 1997 pontiac grand prix

Core is dead center in front of the shift console. There is a bunch of plastic that needs to be removed to get to it, including (on most) the console.
Hardest part of job is getting to the heater hose ends on the firewall (difficult to get to from above or underneath unless it's on a lift, but not impossible) Haynes and Chilton have pretty good instructions for that job and you can use the manuals for other stuff as well...(about $20)
Job takes some time but is much easier than a Jeep!!!! (all day job)
Good luck

Need to replace heater core in 76 Eldorado convertible

You dont have to remove the dash but it might make it a easier job if you did. The heater core is removed from under the R/S dash. after removing the lower dash covers, glove BOX, A/C programmer. Then from under the hood, disconnecting heater hoses, and removing heater case mounting bolts. Then finally jockying the heater box from under the dash without spilling coolant fronm the heater core is a trick. Hope this helps.

Remove and replace heater core 86 f150

This is not a terribly complicated job -- it's mostly bolts, hoses and clamps. It can be messy depending on how much coolant there is in it.

Access to it may be the biggest headache depending on whether it's under the hood or under the dashboard.

Doing this job for the first time will probably take about 4 hours.

97 saturn heating

it is in hte bottum of the center console. you need to remove the side panels to the center dash console. they are just hanging there by a hinge. I would recamend buying a chilton or haines manual it ilistrates the job and makes it much easier. You will have to remove the ventilation lever linkage and a few body screws. its about a 2 to 4 hour job, and is much easier if you have someone to help.
