Can't find the spout to pour transmission fluid into Ford Taurus
I am trying to find the port / spout that I can pour transmission fluid into the engine. I see the openings for motor oil, windshield wiper fluid, coolant and break fluid.
Re: can't find the spout to pour transmission fluid into...
You need a funnel to add trans fluid to the dipstick tube where u check the trans fluid level. Let me know if u need more help, Add fluid w/ engine running, shift car thru all gears to circulate fluid. Don't overfill, it's bad for the trans.

Looks like it may have too much fluid inside. But, it also has to have a loose fill bolt, if manual transmission, or dip stick if automatic, or the drain bolt is loose.
Have someone check to see which problem it is, and check the proper oil level and tighten the plugs.
Look for a dipstick with transmission on it. then place a long nosed funnel init and pour the trans fluid slowly in it. not to much as it is not like an engine. pour alittle then check it while it is running and heated.then pour alittle more until it says [email protected]
You add transmission fluid through the dipstick opening for the transmission... you need a long neck funnel to do so.. they make a transmission fluid funel that you can get. Be careful not to over fill!
There are no guarantees when it comes to a rebuilt transmission or anything. They usually have a warranty for the work all depending on the mileage afterwards. Is it over it? Most likely the gaskets need replacing and the bolts tightened again.
I accidentally poured windshield fluid into the coolant.
