2002 Echo jerking while driving

Hi, my 2002 echo is jerking while i drive, I hold the steering wheel as tight as i can and it still jerks from left or to right while drivivng. Had it checked out, guy said it was the bushings and tire rods, then i came back home to get the wok done and this guy said there was nothing wrong with my bushings or tire rods, he said it was the 4 differrent sizes of my tires. I got the bushings changed anyway cause i bought them. And it didnt help, i bought 2 brand new tires for the front and it did not help. The car has been in a wreck and does need some front end work, i've already put a new strut on and new brakes, rotors and drums, so whats left for me to do

I got it aligned after i got the strut put on, but i didnt notice the problem then until after the strut and the alignment, it did this before when my husband was hit in the back, but i didnt know what it was i was just fixed as apart of the rear damage.

What would make my steering wheel randomly jerk to the left as I'm driving and the faster I go the worse it gets?

Hi There , This should be the left Tierod End , CV Joint or Steering Rack that is experiencing issues , this is not safe the pull to the left is because the alignment is more degrees to the left as you drive and the steering rack is not stable to hold the left and right tierod ends that connect to the suspension and front discs, you need a mechanic before the CV joint bearing rings break or the steering rack jolts while drive and breaks. Please be safe and get it looked at.

1998 audi a4 1.8t steering wheel jerks to the left repeatedly while driving. The more pedal you give it, the more it jerks. It usually has to warm up a little.

After the car warms up are there bubbles or foam in the power steering fluid res. or is the pump noisy? Will the steering wheel jerk to the left when the vehicle is at a stop? Will the steering wheel shutter if the front wheels are off the ground? If you do find that your system mixing air into the fluid you will need to find out why. It will be somewhere between the Res, and the pump. If no is the answer please look elsewhere. I would suspect tires (belting failure or inflation), brakes dragging, loose/worn wheel bearing, steering or suspension. Please let me know what you find or if there is anything else. Good luck.

Toyota echo problem

run the fault codes to find the problem . Guessing and changing items just costs money and becomes frustrating. With the engine light on it could be more serious than plugs and coil

Knocks when you turn, steering column jerks

Hi there - S Wilkins here.
Could be a front hub bearing or axle CV joint.
You may be able to raise the front wheels and move them around and find what is loose.

1999 lhs steering jerks to the left

now is is pulling while you are driving also... like if you remove your hands from the wheel is it pulling left? If so you need a front end alinment... now if it only jerks when you are turning left it could be your steering stablizer bar or your left CV joint because if it seriously damaged it will cause you to steer hard and it could also break in half and you will loose your wheel...

Car jerks to left w/no warning

My opinion, not a good car. But that is a different story. It would be easiest to bring the car in for an alignment. The technician will tell you what the car needs to do the alignment. But if you want to do it yourself then you will need to inspect all the steering componants (tie-rods,struts, lower ball joint, wheel bearings, brakes, wheels, tire wear, tread pattern, and tire pressure, and lug nuts (loose or overtightened). Good luck.

Front End noise and vibration

Check the U-joints and axle baerings. But its most likely because the truck is in four wheel drive.
