AND always thaw the wipers BEFORE you use them..manually pull them up off the window first...lots of people dont do this and ruin the wiper motor..

Check for a blown fuse. With the heavy snow, the blades probably were prevented from moving which would have caused the wiper motor to overheat and blow a fuse.

Do not put a larger amperage fuse in. you run the risk of the wiring over heating and starting an electrical fire. More than likely the wiper motor is starting to go bad and is drawing an unusually large amount of current which causes the fuse to blow. Replace the wiper motor.

the cowl grill by the front of the windshield must be removed [6 screws, three in the grill and three along the front edge] to have access to the crank arm. Remove the nut from the crank arm to detach from the wiper motor

it could be a relay clicking or the motor of the windshield wiper

Turn wipers on (veh in "on" or "acc" position)
Disconnect the electrical connection at the windshield wiper motor (located in the engine compartment on the fire wall) and check for voltage. If you have voltage, there is a good possibility your windshield wiper motor is bad.
You may also: Disconnect the electrical connection at the windshield motor and run a heavy gauge wire directly from the positive side of the battery to the motor. If you get the windshield motor to come on. There may be only a wiring (short) problem between the relay and the motor.

check to see if you have life at the wiper motor plug.if not.you have a dodgy switch.

If the fuse blows as soon as you put it in and the wipers are off then you have a short between the fuse block and the wiper switch.

If the fuse blows only when you turn the wipers on then more than likely the wiper motor has shorted and burned out. This one is very likely if the snow storm was heavy and you was driving in it. Cause- Moving large amounts of snow and ice off the window puts a heavy load on the wiper motors.
