I just bought a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the navigation system is broken, which is fine because I have my own handheld one. But because the navigation is broken every time I turn on the radio it beeps literally every 30 seconds. I don't want to fix the navigation, I just want to be able to listen to the radio without it constantly beeping. Please help!

I would start by checking all the fuses under the hood.
There is a fuse called IOD which the factory leaves out and gets put in at the dealer.
That fuse could be bad.

This is an easy fix. Use a flat head screwdriver andpry out the center stack where the heating and air controls are. this will just pop out. From there there are a few screws to to remove to get the cover off around the stereo.

Under the cd slot you will see a long thin rectangle that can be gently pryed out with a knife tip on the right side of the rectangle. under that cover there is a small button. push that and out comes the nav disc. Voila solved

If you have the same pulley arrangement that most 4.0 engines have that pulley is an idler not a tensioner. Your power steering pump has a pivot bolt, and a slide under the pump. You adjust belt tension using the pump.
