How to reset or bypass a immobilizer on a 2005 volo v70

Volvo not Volo, sorry. all answers by me USA< so, here goes.
the #1 design purpose of IMMO is to do exactly that.
It stop thieves dead in their tracks. or owners, lost keys.
the car came with 2 keys. lost both?
most modern cars if you have 1 key good a second key is allowed to be made by you DIY, and is covered how in the glove box guide.
lost all keys? not told why asking for bypass at all.
but lost keys are a huge problem and answered 100000 times on the internet and here and by your car dealer.
check all fuses first, so that all IMMO related models work.
then scan the PCM for (only key failure)
then.
1: tow it to the dealer.
2: tow it to locksmith ask for permission and say volvo.
3: call for remove locksmith home service, call say volvo

if scanning the PCm show gross faults in the key decoder or related parts, only 1 is a cure.
if DTCs show as WRONG key only a lock smith may help you.

the users guide quoted to you now see at makers web site
and glove box

Keys
Two types of keys are provided with your car; master keys and a service key. The master key, the remote control, and the central locking button may all be used to lock and unlock all of your car's locks.
The service key operates the driver's door and the ignition switch. It will also fit the tailgate lock cylinder on models outfitted with a factory installed third seat. The service key is intended to help deter unwanted entry into the glove compartment.
Turn the key once to unlock the driver's door and the fuel filler door.
Turn the key again (within 10 seconds) to unlock all doors and the tailgate.
One turn with the key towards lock in the drivers door locks all doors and tailgate.
Use the switch on the front door armrests to lock/unlock the car from the inside.
Immobilizer (start inhibitor)
Each of the keys supplied with your car contains a coded transmitter. The code in the key is transmitted to an antenna in the ignition switch where it is compared to the code stored in the start inhibitor module. The car will start only with a properly coded key.
If you misplace a key, take the other keys to an authorized Volvo retailer for reprogramming as an antitheft measure.
*This key operates only driver's door and ignition switch/steering wheel lock.

How to program new key for volvo 2007 s40

You can't program a Volvo S40 keyless entry remote. The module requires a dealer tool for synchronization. If your remote isn't working, try replacing the battery. If that doesn't help, contact a Volvo dealer to set up an appointment to have the remote programmed. The instructions previously published on this page were inaccurate, according to several readers. Please contact The Remote Guy if you know how to program the S40 remote.

How do I reset the remote key

Try this it worked for my s60 and recently on my C30
S/V 90
Procedure
1. Sit in the vehicle with all doors closed.
2. Turn the ignition key on and off five times (not to start position, but the on position) and on the fifth time leave in the on position.
3. Press the remote lock/unlock button several times (if there is a dashboard mounted LED it should light for 2 seconds and then it should flash for 10 seconds) to synchronise the remote to the control unit. Repeat this for additional remotes.
4. Switch off the ignition and test the remotes. A maximum of 4 remotes can be programmed.
S/V90 (Alternative Method)

Lost original car alarm control... need to reset a new one...

programing a Nissan remote , is hidden secret by Nissan Dealers. As a Nissan Technician i will share it.

Just get in your vech , close all doors. Using your power lock switch , lock all doors. After doors are locked take your Ignition Key and insert it and remove it from ignition switch in a slow fashion , but consitant pace. (97 and earlyer are fast) When you see the hazzard lights flash, put key in ignition switch and turn to the On postion .. Do NOT CRANK or you will have to Start over .. After in the On postion .. Hit the Lock button on remote... Hazzard lights should flash..( note..you have to reprogram all remotes when adding a new one , if you don't your old remotes will not work ) If your doing just the one , turn igntion switch off and unlock door and get out and try it. If you are doing more than one. While still in Vech with Key on . After you hit the Lock button on Remote and hazzard light flashed .. with key still on .. use master lock switch unlock doors and relock and then hit Second Remote, Lights should flash again , repeat if adding a 3rd remote.. after done just turn key off and unlock door and get out and try.

Can I program the remote for my volvo xc70? Are there instructions?

No, your remote has a transponder inside of it. It has to be programed to read the chip inside your ignition lock. Thats how they communicate to each other and the car knows that, thats the key for the car. You have to take it to the dealer and they can program if for you in like 10 min.

Lost keyless entry remote

Unfortunately there is not an easy answer for this. Volvo remotes are difficult to program and most mechanics and / or locksmiths won't touch them.

My company does sell these remotes, but like I said above, it is difficult to find anyone to program them. If you take it to the dealer, they will want you to purchase the keyless entry remote from them, and of course charge you a huge fee!

If you can find a locksmith or mechanic in your area to program a keyless entry remote for your Volvo I would suggest purchasing the remote online and save some cash. https://www.keylessentryremotefob.com/Volvo-Key-Fob-Remote-Replacements-s/1855.htm

Does a 1998 v70 come with remote fob for central locking

Should have a key fob.  You can buy a used one and the dealer can program it.  You can not program it yourself.

2001 Volvo S40 missing key/remote

You car has an integrated key and remote.

There is a software that needs to be downloaded to the car. When the remote is purchased at the dealer it comes in a plastic package. That plastic package has a sticker on it. The sticker contains id codes.

There are two codes one is 16 digits/letters and the second one is 8 digits/letters.

Without this sticker the dealership can not program the remote/key to the car. If you buy a key elsewhere, make sure it has the codes included.

Unfortunately you cannot program a remote yourself.
