Just had this problem on my 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe with the "deluxe" lcd screen navigation system/radio/hands free phone. Screen was on, and responded to touch, but absolutely no sound. Just happened when I started it up after a cold spell, then a warmer spell. I removed the fuses for the Amp and the A/V system (see your owners manual or just take off the cover of the fuse box under the driver's side dash), let it sit for about 15 minutes, repnserted the fuse, and now it works fine. This resets the amp (or the A/V system), but like rebooting your computer.

SOURCE: MY FACTORY RADIO VOLUME PROBS

More than likely with a 2003, the speakers that cut out are in the door or doors. Do they cut out of both speakers?

If they cut out of one, then you may have an intermittent speaker ( the wire to the cone becomes partially connected)

If both speakers turn off at the same time and you hear NOTHING on all speakers, then you more than likely have an intermittent connection on the radio itself and probably replacement is probably cheaper than fixing the radio.

One more thing
Factory radios sometimes have an amplifier in them. Sounds funny but they call the Radio in the dash the Head Unit and the amplifier is buried in the dash. You could have a bad amplifier or a loose power connection to it, but that is very unlikely.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: heater quit working 2001 Hyundai Elantra. Checked

If the heater is blowing cold air, it could be your thermostat. They cost $20-50 at an auto parts store. Also, after the car has been ran for awhile does it come up and stay at normal operating temperature? Is your coolant level normal? If the car is high in mileage and the cooling system has never beeen flushed, it may just need flushed.

2011 Hyundai Elantra 1.8L New engine but car doesn't move

It sounds like the issue with your 2011 Hyundai Elantra might be related to the output shaft speed sensor, especially since you're getting a P0722 error code. This sensor is crucial for the transmission's ability to shift gears correctly. Since the transmission was working fine before the engine replacement, it's possible that a connection to the sensor may have been disrupted during the process. I would suggest double-checking the sensor's connection and wiring for any signs of damage or loose connections. Also, ensure that there's no physical damage to the sensor itself. If everything seems intact, it might be a good idea to have the sensor tested or replaced.

2017 Hyundai Elantra steering noise?

This could be caused by the deterioration of this small flexible coupler located in the steering column. The good news is you don't need to have the entire steering column or intermediate shaft replaced as most people think. This tiny, $2.00 flexible coupler and two hours of labor could be the answer to your problem.

Car radio knob keeps turning but no volume from speakers

since all the wires coming to and from radio utilize the same plug-in and the odds of 4-6 speakers all having a bad connection at the same time is astronomical it sounds like a bad radio

Could be worn volume-control (potentiometer), dust/oxidizing on wiper-track of same control.
Buy contact-cleaner spray, such as Servisol, McKenic, Kontakt or similar.
If linear slider-type volume, attach tubular nozzle/guide thingy to spray head, squirt cleaner into slot while zooming back & forth (stereo OFF).
This scrubs the contacted surface while cleaning.
If rotary type, remove stereo, open cover, locate volume control, squirt into control while dialling up and down.
Allow a few minutes to evaporate (quick dry spray is best).

all you need is a power wire to amp but theen you would need a switch to turn it on or off, another way is to connect it to ignition power so it will turn on and off with the ignition, also how hard is it to remove the radio to connect the remote wire, this radio should have a remote hook up or you can get power from the power ant hook up at the back of the radio, so here are so ideas. good day./

My 2009 elantra touring gls radio has a ghost in it. at random times the volume or the channels will increase. how can this be fixed?

There is nothing wrong with your radio. Your Elantra radio automatically changes the volume for you. When you slow down and stop, it lowers the volume, then the volume goes back up when you accelerate.
