96 grand jeep cherokee is jammed into park

My 96 grand jeep cherokee is jammed into park and the car won't start. I think that I didn't put it fully into park or jammed it too hard into park. So now it's stuck. Any suggestions?

The simple fix might be the park interlock cable. this locks the shifter unless you press and hold the brake pedal while selecting gears. I've seen and replaced a few of these on several chrysler/dodge vehicles.

96 Jeep Cherokee won't crank, but lights, radio, etc. all fully operational. Was working fine until parked to go shopping.

Check and make sure your getting power to the starter. If you have no way of doing this then take a hammer and tap the starter while someone cranks the motor. The wire is the small wire at the starter that you need to check for power. If the starter starts when tapped then replace the starter.Hope this helps.Good luck.

No fire to coil from coil on 96 model Jeep Grand Cherokee.

You need to put the harmonic balance for the 96 jeep on this motor, then put the crankshaft sensor on for the 96 jeep on the vehicle, this should fix you up.The crankshaft sensor and the harmonic balance have to go together. If I can be further help, let me know.>>[email protected]
