Recheck your work. Pull the connector off at the flasher and inspect it before plugging it back in. Not much room to work under there in an Excel? Maybe you pulled a wire loose somewhere? Kinda weird, cause the park, tail, and dash lights are all operated by the headlight switch, no relation to the turn signals and flasher relay. Or do you mean the left indicator light on the dash? That would make me think the flasher connection again, or the left side wires up under there. H H, josh...happy ha ha, merry christmas.
I had this problem with my 2007 Honda CRV -- all the lights worked EXCEPT the tail/running lights and the license plate light. The other tail lights worked -- brake, reverse, indicators, and hazards. Front headlights also worked, but when the headlights went on the back tail lights did not (not to safe for driving at night!!) The fuse was #15 in the interior fuse box (under the dash driver side) with the label "small exterior lights" ( also check fuse #19 labeled "small lights main"). The cause of my problem, I believe, is a bad or lose wire in my license plate light.
Dash lights are on the same fuse as the tail lights. Dash lights not working is an indication that the tail lights are not working. The first thing to check is that the tail light fuse is not blown. Most of the time replacing the tail light fuse will restore both the tail lights and the dash/interior lights. If this is not the case you may have to trace the wires and look for a broken or unplugged wire in the harness.
Automobile companies make the dash lights stop working to let you know that the tail lights are out. Usually it is just an indication that you have blown a tail light fuse. First make sure that you do not just have the dimmer turned down on the dash lights. But if the dash and tail lights are out, first check the fuse block to see if the fuse for the tail lights has blown. If you change the fuse and it blows right away you will have to start searching for electrical shorts. Another tell is when you notice that the turn signals are flashing faster than normal. This means that one or more of your turn signal bulbs has burned out.
Do you have dual battery wiring??? I had the same problem with my cruiser when I first purchased it. The main battery was connected to the starter motor, headlights, indicators and a couple of other lights. Although not installed, the positive terminal of the second battery was wired to the alternator and tail/position lights. But because the battery was not there the lights were not working. All I did to fix the problem was put in a second battery, and ensure the battery isolator switch (which was on the side of the engine bay near the top) was disengaged. I also decided to wire my batteries in parallel (connect positive to positive, no need to connect negative terminals as they are both connected to ground) so that the main battery was connected to the alternator and would charge also. You can tell if your main battery is connected to the alternator by putting a voltmeter (there may be one in your dash) across your battery, if it shows about 14.5V then the alternator is connected. If it shows only 12V or less then the alternator is not connected or not working properly.
there's one under the hood another under the dash on the drivers side and possibly one under the dash on the pass. side also. check your owners manual if you have one it should tell you where they're at.
