You can remove the mass air flow sensor with some carb cleaner. You will see 2 wires inside of the sensor to clean. If it does not work you will most likely need a mass air flow sensor.

SOURCE: Buick Le Sabre 1999....the ''Air Bag Readiness Light'' stays on.

well really the only wsay you can figure out why the air bag light is on,is to go to the dealer so they can hook up the scanner and see what code it has in it,there could be a bunch of different things wrong with but the code will point you in the right direction,,,,,,but only the dealer scanner will read air bag codes, the cheaper scanners like auto zones actron, and even the cheaper snap-on and mac do not read it either,so your kinda stuck going to the dealer to find out, if your not familiar with air bags let them work on it,as you could accidently deploy the air bags when your working with the system,,they are sensitive and i would not want to see you get injured

Why the codes po125 & po135 &po155 keep coming back?

Hi there:

DTC P0125 - Insufficient Coolant Temperature For Closed Loop Fuel Control

The simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back.
If the code comes back, the problem is likely going to be the result of the above causes (faulty thermostat, faulty ECT sensor, or a low coolant level).

DTC P0135 - Oxygen O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1, Sensor 1)
or
DTC P0155 - 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1)

A code P0135 and P0155 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

  • O2 Heater element resistance is high
  • Internal short or open in the heater element
  • O2 heater circuit wiring high resistance
  • open or short to ground in the wiring harness

In order to solve just...
  • Repair short or open or high resistance in wiring harness or harness connectors
  • Replace oxygen sensor (cannot repair open or short that occurs internally to sensor)

  • Hopoe this helps.

Check engine lights up on dashboard

This could be due to a number of issues which are numerous to list here....first thing I would suggest is that you attend you local mechanic garage (or autozone who will do it for free) to attach a scan tool to see if there are any trouble codes present...this would be the logical step and then get back to us with th results

I have a 1999 ford f-150 w/approximately 80300 miles and the svc engine soon light came on this morning. I accidentally used summer coolant vs. multiseasonal coolant. Would this cause the light to come on?...

the coolant would not cause the service engine light to come on, this light is telling u that a problem has been detected in the power-train controls or sensors, this can be the result of many things, a loose gas cap will cause it as well as a defective Oxygen sensor or an engine miss and many other issues, go to Autozone or Kragen Auto and have them run a trouble code test on the system, it is free, then post the code back here for me to look at it..
