SOURCE: dtc code p0121 and p2135 2007 chevy malibu

both codes refer to the throttle position sensor, the sensor is at the throttle plate, on the side of the throttle body. to test remove the connector to sensor, use a ohms meter to test. put 1 lead to top connection and the other to the bottom one. move throttle and the needles on the ohms meter should move very even, move throttle slow to get a good reading, needle should move without no hesitation, if the test is bad replace tps sensor. if the sensor gets to bad, it can have an effect on transmission shifting. after fixing sensor have the light turned of with an obd2 scanner.

SOURCE: 2007 chevy equinox codes p0700 &p0705. van

P0700 Transmission Control System Malfunction, this comes on anytime a problem is sensed in the transmission
P0705 Transmission Range Sensor Circuit malfunction(PRNDL Input)
this means that the circuit that signals the transmission control module when u slect a gear (Drive reverse etc.) has a problem, this can be the range selector switch or the wiring connector or the control module, in order to pin down which part is causing the fault code the Chevy dealer must hook up a scan tool called a "Tech II" and read the transmission data as the different gear requests are made.

I have a 2007 Chevy equinox that will not start, the diagnostic reads no communication with the ECM, what does this mean and how do i fix it?

Go under the hood in the main fuse and relay box and check the fuse for the ECM. Also check Pin number 16 on the diagnmostic connector under the dadsh where the code reader plug in. it shoud show 12 volts with the key on. See picture of the connector pins below.

TCM not working trans is in satety mode have to shift manualley

the TCM , just like the ECU has flash codes

you insert a diag, jumper wire to the DLC and red the fash

codes, say code XXXX tail speed sensor dead.

the 4L30E trans? same as trooper and that fact can help find info.

this is true for all TCM made , all

on new cars uSA 1996 + the PCM reports, TCM errors.

why not login in to alldata.com and see these simple steps.

why guess? for $15 bucks, amazes me....???

94 Rodeo

finding old rodeo TCM facts is like pulling teeth, (very few run now)

DLC conn

jump pins 1 and 3 for TCM

this is trooper hope is same

http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/248015_Picture1_11.jpg

3 pin DLC conn

1 and 2 is ECU flahs

1 and 3 is TCM. 1 is ground.

jumper it.

see lamp flash the code.

the 2 pin connector is for the Tech1 scan tool no one has now.

had to find.

code: (keep in mind many codes see LIMP mode, skips gears.)

16 is oil temp failure.

google works with 4L30E, and isuzu.

http://www.motor-talk.de/forum/aktion/Attachment.html?attachmentId=699188

see that.

see page 237 , it even shows the trooper connectors.

and the flash codes.

but you must figure out type 1 or 2.

only

ah it say type 2 is yours.

so now you have a full DTC error map for your car.

and all it cost is a paper clip

How many plugs have the tcm have on a jeep cherokee 3.7 auto

its really a grand cherokee.!
TCM tranny puter.'
NAG1 (early and late) or 545RFE trans? there are 3.
i guess, you are trying to find it......
first off, go to alldata.com and look.
and all cars move the TCM , into the PCM , from 1997 to 2004 (aprox)
but this jeep 07

nag1 MTC, (module trans control) has C1 and C2,
RFE has. C4, 10 pages, on RFE and all show, C4 only.
not sure what that means.?

the TCM/MTC is not integrated in to the PCM. yet. on this year.
there are 2 modules on the RFE,
i highly recommend a real FSM.

replacement transmission and its ECU should be fitted and matched together

did you actually test drive the replacement transmission

Shifts hard into third, codes come up shift solenoid B malfunction, dealer says it's a wiring prob. Where/how to start?

All I can say is to take it to a trans shop or the dealer, you will not be able to diag and fix this problem yourself it is a detailed pinpoint test that involves specific tools. Replacing the solenoid assembly it turned out to be a TCM (Transmission Control Module)... may not be the cure for your demon but its a possibility.

It could be a not completely seated connector, bad solenoid or a bad molded lead frame (shift solenoid complete assembly) or a new unit.

Check this procedure: Diagnostics/Automatic%20Transmission/Circuit%20Inspection/cip0750p.

Hi ! I have a 2006 Chevy Equinox, I lose power to trans untill the truck barely wants to move after 2bks or so. p0700 / p0705 are the codes that have come up. We replaced the tcm (p0700). p0705 comes up...

Since this vehicle does have a possible reprogramming issue, before I spent any money on parts, let them hook their scanner(in this case it going to be the tech 2 with downloadable info from a mainframe to reprogram) and see if there are any other under lying codes or info. What this means is that they have the ability to read and interpret live data to pin point the issue. the code may be merely a reference point. There may also be a TSB regarding this issue. Start at the dealer, then work on replacement of parts. Always start with information first. Sometimes we are suprised by what we find. Let me know what they say and if you need anything else.

2002 Dodge Caravan with approx. 66,000 miles, check engine light came on, seemed to have stayed in 2nd gear. Could it be a pac solenoid transmission problem?

You need to find someone who can pull the codes from the transmission and see what kind of trans fault it is. If there is a fault in the trans the controller will put it into limp in mode which is 2nd gear locked. Won't shift out of 2nd...You need to pull the codes and see if it is internal in the trans or an external sensor-Good Luck
