When i cut it on it idles and stays running for about 20 minutes as well as driving and then it cuts off again. i try to crank it up right after and it wont crank up. After it cools down it'll start again and then do the same thing.

if there is a knocking sound the computer will start retarding the timing to get rid of engine knock thru the knock sensor. Make sure you are using the correct grade of fuel. it will be listed in your owners manual. the improper grade of fuel can cause detonation in your engine. giving a knocking sound. if the change in fuel doesn't help you may be looking at mechanical repairs. hope this helps. mike

Did you check for good compression? You may have either jumped timing or have a broken timing belt. I would check engine compression first. If it's good then move on to checking your fuel and ignition systems.
