I have a 97 Nissan Maxima, and I'm not sure if it's Bose or not... but basically, I have an after-market radio, it was installed and working fine until I removed the old original CD Changer Head-Unit that wasn't being used anymore. Taking the dash out and looking at the back of the after-market head-unit revealed a bunch of wires from the connector that are just dangling with electrical tape on the ends of them. I have Absolutely NO Power at all to the head unit right now. What wires are responsible for power to be able to turn it on? The fuses are fine, cause I just bought all new fuses and replaced the old ones. Seems to be a wire problem somewhere... Any help is greatly appreciated!!
Here is a list of radio wiring harness wire color codes and what they do. I have given both with and W/O Bose.

Try radio shack, or stereo sales/installation place for ready to go plug adapter. For a few bucks, it saves headaches, and butchering the wiring in case you want to re-install old one later when trading in or selling the car.

This
sounds funny but disconnecr the battery and then hook it back up-I did this and power was restored to my radio-I have no idea why this worked.
Good luck!!!!!!!!!

hi there. I am not sure about the speakers. But there is a wiring harness available for a aftermarket head unit. I have a '97 sentra the base model XE version. I have just put in an alpine head unit and you defenately hear the difference even on factory speakers. But you will need 2 kits to install an aftermarket head unit in the car. 1. A dash kit. I got mine from canadian tire for about 20 bucks, it comes with instructions on how to put it together and its straight forward, just make sure u get the one for your year and make of car.
2. The wiring harness. there available at mostly every car audio place for about 10 bucks. again make sure u get the one for your year make and model of car. installing this is difficult so unless your good at electronics get it professionally installed. you have to splice the wires into the back of the aftermarket unit, then the plugs plug right into your existing factory car harness.
hope this solves your problem, the dash kit is easy to put together and install into the car, but the wiring harness is a bit difficult, i had my harness installed for about 40 bucks and u save money if u put the dash kit togehter yourself because thats 1 less thing they have to do. good luck.

Seems like you have a wiring problem (its possible that some wires had been connected to the wrong end thus causing the said problem). This problem can only be solved with hands on troubleshooting. Have a good electrician check your car. I'm sure its gonna be a piece of cake for them. Best wishes.
Wrong amp fuse or maybe you have a loose wire or a short somewherecausing the fuse to burn out?
