Occasionally when driving up an incline, the car will seem to "slip" in that the RPMs continue to rev but the speed drops to almost 15-20 mph. I shifted car in neutral then back in drive and then the speed came back. Is this the transmission? Everything I read says not to change the fluid in Jaguar transmission???

Because the car has adaptive technology, it may take a while to reset and adjust to the new, cleaner and better conditions than those to which it had previously adapted.
Did you change the cap and rotor? if the plugs needed replacement, likely they do too
Possible other causes include:
loose or corroded connections to any electrical component you disturbed (make a checklist and tick them all off as you check them);
mis-reinstallation of any F.I. part disturbed(checklist again)
obstructed water flow through the AIC valve;
improper voltage output from the AIC valve (for LH 2.4 systems, should output 8 volt at idle, dropping as load increases; for LH 2.4.2 system output 7 volt at idle etc; testing between terminals)33 and 17 at disconnected LH connector;
possible problem with MAF.
Hope this helps

you may be feeling the torque convertor locking and unlocking....if you feel this on grade it may be normal. there is also the possibility that the brake switch may be acting up and causing it

The longer you drive with that condition, the more damage you will cause. Park it until you can repair it.
Think of it as how long would you think it is okay to run your engine without oil? Zero.

I had the same problem. Restricted performance and running rough at 3000 RPM. I have an OBDII code reader and found that the problem was in the air mass flow sensor, which is just after the air filter. I pulled this out and found it was dirty and had butterfly wings in it. The last shop where I had the oil changed replaced the filter for me but put in the wrong size. Close but no cigar. Bought some *** Flow Sensor cleaner at auto store and fixed the problem. Get an OBDII reader with the ability to erase the codes. Comes in real handy.
