2003 Chevrolet K1500 4x4 106,000 miles, multiple miss fire code P0300, Code only appeared after the spark plugs and wires were replaced?? Was only performing basic maintenance. the truck ran fine before this. All connections are good and secure, replacing plugs and wires is usually pretty straight forward. Now Idles rough, starts sluggish, seems to run fine at higher rpm's but Fuel mileage has greatly decreased. Any help or idea's would be greatly appreciated.
IS IT POSSIBLE YOU GOT A WIRE CROSSED? or a plug is cracked and or gap closed up? i would check these. you have the 5.3? what kind of plugs are you running?
yes kinda hard to cross those wires. those are good plugs to use. check your injectors use a long screwdriver and put tip on each injector and at your ear. you should hear each one clicking. this will rule those out. do can also try unplugging coils while running and see if you see one that does not change the engine running and this will be your cad cylinder

Yes its the 305 V8 5.3L It has individual coil packs over each cylinder and the wires are all the same length about 11 inches long and they are only long enough to fit from the coil pack directly over the corresponding plug. And I removed all plugs to double check for cracks and closed gaps, everything was good, I did use die electric grease, but that has never been a problem before. Plugs used were , AC delco none iridium's came out of the truck, AC delco iridium's were used to replace them could that be an issue I wouldn't think so but I am grasping at straws here.
backfires pretty consistently at idle. revs up ok and is sluggish at lower rpm speeds
code 301 compression good, firing at plug ,just restarted after having heads reworked And it is missing on 1 cyl.
also is standard trans. starts fine runs for about 20 minunites dies will nor restart for about two hours than dies again checked for codes none present but 12 code and it repeats continuely until key is turned off and help would be appricated thanks
