Horn button in the middle of the steering wheel seems to be moved.

I have a 1999 Honda Accord and the horn button is not where it's supposed to be. It's slightly moved down and right or at least it is where it works when it works. I'd like to know how can I disassembly the steering wheel to solve this issue and put it back in the middle.. My car doesn't have any air bags.

SOURCE: SRS light stays on

This is most likely a wiring issue in the steering column.  I advise you not to attempt to repair this on your own unless you are an experienced mechanic.  If you do be very cautious as the airbag wiring runs through there and can be a very dangerous mistake.

SOURCE: Honda Accord steering vibration

this sounds like an issue with the power steering rack and pinion unit, poss one of the internal O ring seals leaks when cold, try using LUCAS oils power steering conditioner, it is the only one I know of that really works, also I would recommend you flush the power steering fluid before you add this product.

Horn fuse should be located in the fuse box under the dash on drivers side kick panel. If fuse is good try replacing the horn itself, it might be bad due to the age of the car. They are located behind the front bumper on the left and right side.

Where is my steering column grounded. My horn does not work when ignition switch is on

Your horn should always work, key on or off. 1999 Accord uses a horn relay. Horns themselves going bad is not uncommon.

Horn does not work. Have replaced horn relay & fuse and it still isn't working. Please advise

Check to make sure that horn is connected at the steering wheel.
Remove the portion of the wheel that you push to activate the horn
and reconnect the wire. If that doesn't work check connections at
the horn(s).

198 honda accord ex if horns sounds, shorts out cruise control and brake lights. This happens when I manually sound the horn or the alarm does. Any ideas?

This is a tough one, if a horn itself was shorted, it wouldn't sound.Try unhooking both horns, and try to activate it from the steering wheel. If the brake light´s fuse still burns, at least you know that there is a short in the cabling leading to the horns. If the fuse doesn't trip, then one of the horns should be the culprit.

Hi. I have a 99 Honda Accord 2.0 VTi. I'm the 3rd owner of the car, so I no longer have the manual to it. Two questions: My car over-heated today. The coolant container was empty & there is a leak...

Yes you need to have the leak fixed [ ASAP ], it's the cause of over-heating problems. It sounds like there is a wire that's chaffed bare inside the steering coulum that's grounding making the horn sound.

Bought an 2004 honda accord and the horn does not work. What is the procedure for repairing this issue?

simple circuit, but can be hard if problem is switch in steering wheel. First check fuse and relay at fuse box. relay should click when horn button on wheel is pushed. If relay doesn't click, either button or relay is bad. If relay clicks, test for voltage at horn. You can use a simple test light available at the auto parts store if you don't have a voltmeter. If there is voltage at the horn, replace horn.
If relay does not click, replace relay to see if that fixes your problem. If new relay doesn't fix, you have a bad switch in the steering wheel or possibly bad wiring. cannot help you with switch as it's different on every car. any questions--let me know.

92 accord horn stopped working after going thought

If your fuse is not blown, then you'll want to test the horn voltage with a test light at the horn while the horn switch is being pressed.

I would suggest unplugging the horn & just testing the wire for 12V + and if you have voltage there but the horn won't work when reconnected you'll have to replace the horn.

If the voltage is missing at the horn connection when you do the test, then it has to be either the fuse or the relay, and finally, the switch on the steering wheel. Wiring is a last consideration based upon the circumstance.

The owners manual will have the fuse & relay location.

It of course would be a coincidence for it to be anything but the horn & I do expect that the horn is bad or has a bad connection which you'll correct when you reconnect it after testing! good luck

The horn on my 2001 Honda Accord goes like if the emergency button is pressed. The only way it will stop is if I pull the battery cable? How do I disable the horn until I can get it fixed?

Just pull out the cable from the horn, or the nearest joint. I suspect the reason is in the contact plate on steering wheel or relay is stuck with closed contacts.

1993 honda del sol horn does not work. Horn

Im in the same boat with my 99 civic si. it is wiring in the steering wheel that is causing your horn to not work. it is a lot of work to replace the wire in the steering wheel, so if you want a horn, my suggestion is to wire the horn to a aftermarket switch. it is a cheap and easy solution and will get the job done.

HORN

will have to take the steering wheel apart and check for loose wire or just might need to be clean a little.
