Shaking uphill i have a 2003 land rover disco II and today it started shaking as i was going uphill, i couldn't bring it past 30 mph. There was no problem with the car before(yesterday) it didn't turn off.

Shaking with a check engine light on? or a wobble in the whole car? did you go through a big puddle? wet ignition may cause this and shoud go away when it dries.

If this Land Rover has an Automatic transmission or if you are using full time four wheel drive the problem is in the chain driven transfer case. You need a transmission rebuild.

Common problems with disco 2 year 2000. thanks v8

Hi welcome main problems are the abs valves causing the 3 dash lights (search 3 amigos online) a really badly sited compressor can cause air suspension models to fail giving the bags a slow leak the V8 is a solid engine but can have radiator expansion tank and cap failures
the other issue is electrics windows and door looms are problematic

Disco II Car Alarm goes of in the middle of the night

Could be a problem with the sensor, as their is a few sensors, door(s), hood, depending on he car a few others. One of the sensors could be going bad and is super sensetive or intermitten and even if say a gust of wind hits the wire, it'll go off. Im saying it's a bad sensor.

Which serpentine belt do I need for my 2001 Land Rover Discovery II se7 ??? Pep Boy is offering me 2 differnet kind/types.

I have responded to this problem in the past. 2001 discos had an ACE (Active Cornering Enhancement) option. ACE vehicles had an additional hydraulic pump for the system therefore ACE vs Non_ACE cars require different belts.

99 land rover discovery intermittant problem runs rough then runs fine

Having a similar problem with my Disco. Talked to a couple guys I know who done a lot of work on them and you might check the O2 sensors and/or the spark plugs. My Disco kinda pulses during acceleration especially when you first crank up. When it warms up is smooths out. If that is what you mean by running rough. If your more chugging like the car just doesn't got it, it more likely a fuel flow issue.
Last thing cause it would be the most expensive. Your computer could be crapping out. The Disco doesn't have a mechanical distibutor. It is all done by computer and that could going.
Hope this gets you started.
