Airconditioner-heater blows out defrost mode only
Ck for vacuum leak some jeeps are vacuum some are electric ,the mode control is in default if vacuum a leak if electric the control panel or mode door actuator , the electric you can sometimes hear if not try to see under dash some the dash has to be removed to see.

under the hood on the firewall there is a square boxlike cover beside the maxifuse&relay. there is a vacucum hose there that controls the vent shutoff had same problem with my 93 bonneville sse when purchased, check to see it has no cracks or has pulled out of rubber connecter .

The door in the heater box is most likely stuck. It is located under the dash on the passenger side

common problem, check under dash by the gas pedal if control arms are muving went selecting from ac to heat cuz this it is the control for the vents to go from ac to heat and to defrost.
SOURCE: Dash vents will not blow air. Defroster and floor vents blow fine.
Is it a new vehicle? I had a new vehicle that had the same problem. Answer was that the holes weren't punched out of the vent.
