1994 toyota pickup fuel pump not working

94 yoda (R22e) fuel pump not pumping fuel. All fuses and relays check out good. vehicle will run with starting fluid. New fuel pump and fuel filter. It ran when I parked it, went out two days later and it will just crank but not start. Removed the bed and tested the voltage at the fuel tank with the key on and get no voltage. Thinking about bypassing the stock wiring harness and run a wire from the battery with a manual switch. Know ther eis an electrical beakdown somewhere, just dont know where...

SOURCE: 1985 toyota extracab 22r-e cranks but won't start

as long as your volt meter is capable of measuring OHMS you can test wires, find the main power wire to the fuel pump and measure for voltage when you turn the key on(3-4 sec) if power is present at the fuel pump, and the pump don't run, then replace it

SOURCE: toyota wont start

EFI= to Electronic Fuel Injection. If you have sparks, check for fuel delivery. Another is the electronic module on your distributor, but you already said you have spark and hopefuly the right "timming" too. So you checked the current and is OK, what else do we have. The computer? Remeber that Camry,is the cadillac of the Toyota. Some even have Lexus parts. So expect parts to be rather expensive!.

the 4wd light does not come on but the vehicle feels like it is in 4wd, is there a electrical switch that controls this issue ie; the hubs don't lock in.

The fuse for the fuel relay keeps blowing out already checked wire harness for shorts did some repairs but still have problem..help..

Sounds like you have some experience. Will the vehicle run by applying power direct to the fuel pump? just trying to isolate a bad pump. If pump is confirmed good than you missed a wiring problem. Keep in touch.

You should replace the fuel filter and check for vaccum leaks. Also you should check the compression of your vehicle this might solve your problem.

Underhood fuse block swap out relay #7 thats the ECM relay.
Ground Circuits Using a DVOM, touch negative voltmeter lead to a good ground. Touch positive voltmeter lead to each ground terminal. With vehicle running, voltmeter should indicate less than one volt. If reading is greater than one volt, check for open, corrosion and loose connection on ground lead. See ECM GROUND LOCATION table for ECM ground location.

1994 toyota sr5 pickup not starting due to no fuel. How to check fuel system including pump?

Look in the fuse box under the hood. Look to see if the 15 amp EFI fuse is blown. If so, you may have a short circuit at the fuel pump wiring under the bed/on top of the tank. If it is not blown, you may have an open circuit on the same wire; this is a very common issue to the 94 trucks.

Fuel pump wont run and keep blowing a fuse in the front fuse box

The power wire to your fuel pump must be shorting out somewhere. Disconnect it and see if your fuse still blows. If not, then follow the wire all the way back to the fuel pump, and look for a bare spot. Good luck!
