There is a coolant passage that connects the two heads. The gaskets need to be replaced. The transmission needs to be raised up from the back in order to repair.

I also have the same model car, only two years older than yours, it seems to me that either your heater hose is leaking or you have a leaking freeze plug. Please check this two things. It may be just loose hose to the heater core and or loose hose from the heater core back to the engine block .Also, see if the over flow coolant container is leaking or it may have too much coolant on it and overflowing. If can not find where the leak came from , have the mechanic test the coolant pressure. Usually they check it through the radiator .

94 Isuzu rodeo started to idle high

Vehicles tend to idle higher for two main reasons, as the temperature becomes colder, the engine must work harder to warm itself up so it idles higher to accomplish this faster. The second may be due to a vacuum leak in the engine. Any other symptoms?

How do we connect Isuzu rodeo 3.2L plug wire

FIRING ORDERS NOTE: To avoid confusion, remove and tag the spark plug wires one at a time, for replacement. If a distributor is not keyed for installation with only one orientation, it could have been removed previously and rewired. The resultant wiring would hold the correct firing order, but could change the relative placement of the plug towers in relation to the engine. For this reason it is imperative that you label all wires before disconnecting any of them. Also, before removal, compare the current wiring with the accompanying illustrations. If the current wiring does not match, make notes in your book to reflect how your engine is wired. 1992 Isuzu Rodeo Distributor wires 3.1L engine

Hi,
Isuzu seem to have complicated things by changing engines, firing orders and even direction of rotation! As you can see, they've numbered the cylinders the other way than the 3.2L.

The Firing sequence for the 3.1 (traditional distributor) 6 cylinder is as follows -

d6e5b2a.jpg

If you take the distributor cap off, there should be a "No.1" formed on the inside. Stick a lead on this before you put the cap back on and go from there.
As leads are different lengths, you may have to swap a few to find the best fit.

I think 2 of them will look out of place - but that's the way it's designed. Just make use of clips for holding them neatly.

Thanks for using Fixya.
