I have 2002 accord 2.3 my engine light on p0303- and p01399 can any one help what cost mostly this cod.
Usually you will get DTC P1399, when using a Generic OBD2 Scan Tool, you would get a different set with a manufacture specific scantool, like Honda's HDS
Their could be a few problems why a miss fire will code up. (a) tight valve (b) blown head gasket (example: coolant in the combustion chamber). Have you done a compression test? Does the engine have a miss in these cylinders?

On most Honda's when you get a misfire happening across the whole engine like that there are a few likely issues. the ignition coil if it's a single coil style or the connector at the distributor. They also have some issues with EGR's and plugged ports which can mess with the fuel trim numbers. It's important to check the fuel pressure and if possible a timing offset spec from the scanner whenever you're dealing with misfires on any vehicles Honda or not and determine correct pressure and flow whenever possible.
Hope this helps.

The injector is a good possibility, although you should check for spark in the wire first, as the electrical is the weakest link in the system. Put a spare plug in the end of the wire with the plug resting on metal, then have someone crank the van to see if you have spark that far, test and replace spark plug, (do not get shocked!) then look into a new injector or a good cleaning.

It could be carbon deposits on valve seats keeping valves from totally closing. You can try getting you a can of motorcraft PM3 top end engine cleaner and get engine up to operating temp then remove one of the small vacuum lines from the intake and draw the contents of the can slowly into the engine. After you have drawn in the contents shut engine off and let it soak for about 45 minutes then crank it back up and let it run until it clears. Now it will smoke like a forrest fire while you are doing this so don't be alarmed, just tell the neighbors you are spraying for mosqitos. This may cure the problem. If not you may be looking at a valve job.
This can be verified with a compression test if this is what is causing it.

hey thanks for bringing me up to speed. ive been working on many other problems but with your great explanation i remember.
we need to check the compression on that cyl. and compare it to the compression on 2 other cylinders your choice.
but before you do this get a can of carb cleaner . and with the car idling spray around the intake manifold in the area of #6 cyl. what we are looking for is a small vacuum leak that would also act like this. with the engine idling and spraying around the intake the engines idle sould not change and if it does when you spray you have an intake leaking.
let me know how it turns out.

do a compression test. cylinder 3 could have a bad valve lifter or valve.kia sephia dont have push rods.it have a bucket type followers.a intake leak to that cylinder can also cause misfire problems.
