Hi,I have a 1995 GMC sierra 1500 extended cab 4wd truck that seems to die ocassionaly when driving and is hard to start i have replaced the fuel filter,fuel pump & relay and installed new plugs and checked for spark off coil & to plugs everything seem to have spark any suggestions?

Have you check the injector relay or maybe a fuse for injectors.

had this problem on my neighbors 98 chevy truck with the same engine !!
it turnd out too be the fuel pressure regulator,you have too pull the upper intake too replace it!!

definitely could be something smaller. Like a relay....even a filter.
Few things to try:
Just turn the key to on, not start and see if you listening to the fuel tank if you can hear the pump going. If not, its either the pump or the relay.
Most of these trucks have another switch that kicks in after the enigine is started and runs the pump so you may be able to spray starting fluid in it while cranking it and get it to start. Then the other switch may kick in and run it. that will let you know if its the relay or what. Let me know what you find. I just replaced a relay on a 93 and it was only $8.....worth a try. Also, there will be a fuel pump fuse, probably close to the relay, could be that!

even though parts are new they also come with defects so it sounds as if when you turn the key you hear it working and other times not at all hmmm connections are tight ? could be faulty fuel pump or relay .
