You helped me last time my radiator had blown a hole in it and come to find out the water temp sensor was bad. Replaced and all was good.
Hello all,
I have been on this site before and you guys and gals are amazing so this may be a good one for you. This is very interesting....
I have a 97 nissan altima with 175,000 miles. She is running great no smoke not miss no nothing but here is the problem: When i started up the car last week i heard a humming noise. This noise will stay in sync of the cars RPMs if i rev it it will rev right with it. I know its comming from under the hood but where im not sure???
I replaced the battery since it was old so i know that cant be it, i had the alternator tested and all is good. The belts are in good shape. i did notice that i was a little low on power steering fluid i topped it off but still have the same noise. I have let 2 different mechanics if you will lisen to it and one says that its probley the bearing in a pully and the other thinks pully in the motor running the timming chain. Now that to me is real bad news. So far i havent found a shop that i can trust yet so i guess that why im comming to you and trying to do most of this myself.
Let me know what your opions are and what i need to do cause u have earned my trust.
Look foward to your comments,
Thanks again,
Joe North
