My 2006 AVEO was over heating. I looked to see if the fan was running and it was not. I took it in and mechanic said it was the fuse. 2 days later I had to get a new battery. I also replaced the light bulb in trunk. It sparked when removing the cover to get to the bulb. Now the dome light and trunk light doesn't work. So I replaced the fuse for the light bulbs and nothing. The next day car over heating and now the key remote alarm will not work. Back at the mechanics to have it looked at. The radiator fan is blowing to hard and is killing the fuse. So went from a 10 to a 15. That fixed the fan and the alarm and the dome light. But the trunk light is still out. What a headache this has been. It has been a domino effect of problems. Why is all this happening.
You never replace a fuse that blows with a higher amp one . That's a good way to set your car on fire ,melting wiring etc.... The fan isn't blowing harder ,drawing to much current . lower resistance in the circuit .
Why is all this happening.????? Because you have electrical problems . Do voltage drop testing on the problem circuits , testing with a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter .
Where did you fine this fuse for The radiator fan is blowing to hard and is killing the fuse.So went from a 10 to a 15. My service info states it take's a 30 amp fuse . An it has two cooling fan relay , an a droping resistor . Unless your mixed up on your fan's , Heater blower motor fan ? From reading your post , i'd say you don't know anything about automotive repair . Suggest you take your vehicle to the dealer . We know your vehicle better then anyone else .

If the fuse blows when you start the car their is a bare wire somewhere in the wiring system that is grounding out when power goes through the system. Thier is a possibility of it being something else that is on the same fuse. You will have to trace the wires to find out what and where it is exposed. Your switches should be tested also. The switch that turns the light on manually and the one located in the door jam itself that turns the light on when opening the door. You should bring your car to a mechanic who is qualified in electrical dianosis. I hope this helped you out. good luck..... It would be appreciatted if you could rate my answer. tThanks....MIKE-
SOURCE: 2004 Chevrolet Aveo Brake lights not working
A couple of days ago my brake lights on my 2004 Chevy Aveo wouldn't work, so I attempted to remove the lamp covers to check the bulbs. Also, before this my shifter would get stuck in park and could only be released by pressing the unlock gadget next to the shifter. Back to the brakes...Well, you open the trunk and remove the two screws just like the manual said, but it was very hard to pull off. There's 2 prongs holding the other half of the light on. The lamp will come loose by prying it (very hard). You think the cover will break, but it'll come loose. The bulbs were all OK.
After much frustration and internet info, the STOP LAMP SWITCH, GM#96436331 ($9.30 at Chevy dealer), which is located under the dash and has contact with the brake pedal, was defective. Once replaced, both my brake lights AND SHIFTING problems were cured. So if the brake lights suddenly don't work or you have problems getting the vehicle out of park, check the switch by pushing the prong (end that has contact with brake) of the switch in and out. If it doesn't retract smoothly...that's the PROBLEM. Good Luck.
