Major electrical problem? No previous warning.

Sudden onset. Vehicle is running fine, then suddenly, all power to accessories and lights goes out, dash lights dim, speedometer quits completely. Engine keeps running and can get home but no headlights, no brake lights, no hazard flashers. Got home and headlights and parking lights began flashing like hazard flashers then shut off after about 30 seconds. Removed key from ignition. Let sit for a minute then it starts just fine and everything working again for a few minutes. It rained today, but we've never had trouble in the rain before.

We had this same problem after my brother hooked up jumper cables backwards.
We had to replace computer boaord under the driver side dash. I can't for the life of me remember the name of it. lol But someone who can hooked that up and get the codes can tell you if it needs to be replaced. I found mine on ebay....they are Hard to find!

SOURCE: F250 spins over well will not start

Sounds like a faulty crank sensor. Can also be caused by a faulty cam sensor.

Why is my Pajero Activ 2010 diesel going into Limp Mode? It drives beautifully then all of a sudden goes into limp mode but no fault codes recorded; no engine warning lights.

I'm guessing electrical fault or electronic component failure (camshaft position sensor, etc). I've seen similar before on another vehicle I owned years ago.
